Note that Calvo took this spot in the DSL 2 rotation last time (although I'd also guess Gonzalez).

Javier Rodriguez promoted to Lowell. My guess is he takes Rosenbaum's spot and Rosenbaum is activated from the DL. In the GCL, De Jesus was lined up to piggyback Rodriguez's next start, so he might slot in tomorrow. Alternatively, Bautista could move up on regular rest, and Jalen Williams could also take the rotation spot, but De Jesus tomorrow seems most likely.
As for Kevin Steen, given that he's currently lined up with the rehabbing McGrath, my bet is they keep that going and Steen takes that spot when McGrath is activated.
Also, Danny Mars playing outfield for the first time today after 3 at DH as he continues rehabbing.

I live in PA now and will be at the Iron Pigs / PawSox game tonight (unless it's rained out). Anybody looking for specific info / pictures, etc?

Carlos Tovar left GCL game with an injured ankle, per the play-by-play. If he's hurt, what was an already thin infield gets super thin.
Sox did some good things in this year's draft. The "fill the short-season teams as needed in the late rounds" portion was definitely NOT one of them. That might be the most poorly constructed roster I've seen in the system in my 10 years following it. Five infielders, 10 outfielders (or 6 and 9 if you consider Jerry Downs a first baseman, which is all he's played). It's like they didn't realize that all the infielders they drafted were going to Lowell.

Is it really a problem if the likes of Raiwinson Lameda, Nick Hamilton, and Chris Madera don't get enough plate appearances, though? Once Mars finishes his rehab, you have an OF of Washington/Aybar/Hill/Kemp/Rusconi, which you can easily rotate through the three outfield spots and DH (and that's not to mention that Kemp should probably get a promotion to Lowell).

Give us an update on Joe Kelly's fastball command and if it wavers further into the game tonight.

It's a problem that the infield is too thin. They have to play Basabe out of position in order to give Tovar days off right now as it is.

Although it would be a while before he'd appear in games. Maybe we'll see some promotions from the DSL squads.

Kelly hit 96 on the Iron Pigs radar with great fastball command in first. 3rd out though was a hard liner off his pitching arm. Not sure if he'll be back for 2nd.

Kelly is done. Being looked at by trainers. Hinojosa is in for long relief.

Iron Pigs pitcher has zero command right now. Cechinni has 2 hits vs a sub-par pitcher on his changeup but glad to see the PawSox winning. 4-5walks and only 3rd inning.

Peguero with a nice opposite field home run that just cleared the wall! 8-1 Pawsox in 4th.

Moncada continuing to heat up: 2 hits, plus a SB. And I predict 0 errors for him tonight.

Holy cow, Luis Alexander Basabe was the first in Lowell history to homer from both sides of the plate in one game...now he's done it twice in one season. 2 for 4 with 2 HR, 1 K.
He's 18 years old.

And Luis Martinez throws the ball into the outfield on a play to 3rd and ball game is over. Paw sox lose in the 11th.

Cecchini is .275 / .351 / .377 over his last 19 G / 77 PA. That's not going to be enough to get him back to MLB given his defense, but at least it's an improvement over .182 / .254 / .267 in his first 51 G / 206 PA. And it's a guy who might actually be replacement level, if we need a replacement, instead of far below it.
He needs to build on this, rather than have it disappear as noise.
Meanwhile, Moncada now .380 / .458 / .520 in his last 13 games / 59 PA.

Cup of coffee correction. It would have been a 6-2-5 double play but Luis Martinez threw ball into mid-left field.
