Acosta hasn't pitched since June 17. Assuming he's still not pitching, it should be Jhosmar Cortez for DSL1, followed by Jose Zacarias.
Assuming I've got this pegged right, Jalen Williams should follow Bautista, and Jervis Torrealba should follow Reyes.
Pawtucket is interesting. Before last night's rainout, the rotation was Couch-Owens-Johnson-Wright. With the rainout, the PawSox website now says Couch-Johnson-TBA. I wonder why Owens has been pushed back and Johnson hasn't - perhaps to line him up for July 21, which would be the fifth game after the MLB ASB?

Owens is getting the ball tonight as previously scheduled, instead of Couch, who I'd bet will piggyback heading into the break.
Also, Swihart to Pawtucket on a rehab assignment.

GCL Sox win again to go to 13-4. Scored 5 runs on 4 hits, 6 walks, 2 HBP and 2 errors because it's the GCL. PBP from the inning they scored all the runs copied below.
The Animal Bautista with a nice start: 5-2-1-1-1-6. Jalen Williams with two clean innings - gotta wonder if he gets pushed to Lowell soon in his third season at the complex.
The pitching is definitely why that team is succeeding. Just four current players (plus Ramos while he was rehabbing) with an OPS above .700.
GCL Red Sox Bottom of the 6th Pitching Change: Hector Lujan replaces Williams Ramirez. Danny Mars grounds out, second baseman Luis Arraez to first baseman Lewin Diaz. Rafael Oliveras hit by pitch. Roldani Baldwin hit by pitch. Rafael Oliveras to 2nd. Trent Kemp reaches on a force attempt, fielding error by shortstop Jermaine Palacios. Rafael Oliveras scores. Roldani Baldwin to 3rd. Yoan Aybar singles on a line drive to right fielder Roberto Gonzalez. Roldani Baldwin scores. Trent Kemp to 3rd. With Jagger Rusconi batting, Yoan Aybar steals (2) 2nd base. Jagger Rusconi singles on a line drive to right fielder Roberto Gonzalez. Trent Kemp scores. Yoan Aybar scores. Pitching Change: Rich Condeelis replaces Hector Lujan. With Devon Fisher batting, Jagger Rusconi steals (1) 2nd base. Devon Fisher strikes out swinging. With Darwin Pena batting, wild pitch by Rich Condeelis, Jagger Rusconi scores. Darwin Pena walks. Chris Madera grounds out to shortstop Jermaine Palacios.

Is Swihart on the DL cause he's really hurt, or cause they wanted him with the big league club to learn more from Hannigan? Why aren't they toying with his service time in hopes of getting him at least a year longer? Do they actually expect he will replace Leon (and deplete our precious depth) when he is healthy? Or his he maybe just holding them ransom on a nagging injury?

He could be in the majors all year and he would still have 6 more years of team control. Now they could theoretically play with his service time to prevent him from being a super two and gaining another year of arbitration.

Owens wants to throw strikes tonight!! 1st inning completed: 13 pitches, 11 strikes, and he strikes out the side.

“@willflemming: And now the slider going for Owens. A new weapon for him - and he throws a perfect one to K Forsythe. Has thrown maybe 1 CB, around 10 SL”

Denyi Reyes: 6IP, 3H, R, 0BB, 3K -- that is now zero walks over 43IP for Reyes.

If Buchholz is down for the season, I think I'd want Owens up taking his place (in addition to Johnson who's already basically in the rotation). Love seeing the Ks again tonight.

I was at McCormick field in Asheville tonight for the Drive vs Tourists game.
Greenville Rafael Devers 4-4, BB, SB (2 sharp grounders, a line drive, and a bloop) Michael Chavis 1-5, HR, nearly hit a 2nd HR but ball was caught at the wall, also lined out. Javier Guerra 2-4 Yoan Moncada OFF
I came away impressed by Bryan Hudson (LHH), a nice approach at the plate, smacks the ball up the middle and the other way, fought off a lot of tough pitches. Likely won’t have much power. Looked solid in CF
Sloppy night for the Drive defensively as they had 5 errors.
Long night, the Drive faced a soft tossing lefty who nibbled and threw a lot of pitches, combine that with the extra outs the Drive were giving. 3 1/2 HR game
Jeffry Fernandez wasn't fooling anyone a lot of loud contact for Asheville.

Owens re-establishing himself again lately. I love how he seems to make adjustments with his experiences.

Logan Boyd sighting in Lowell. I didn't expect that. Was he just that good in XST (or post draft XST)? Anyone interview Sox staff about this? Did anyone confuse him with Jon Lester and thought he was on rehab assignment? Edit: I guess my coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Release Logan Boyd so I don't make this mistake again. No Logan ALLEN sightings as of yet!
