Guerra with his 10th homer... His K% is still high at 26+%, but it used to be up above 30%, so he's brought it down somewhat.

Is it just me or is Moncada hitting the cover off the ball lately? He has to be hitting like .600 in his last 10 games

.359 over his last ten.
Which is exactly what Rijo was hitting over HIS last ten going into today (0/3 with BB). He has definitely gotten less press this year than last. Partly a deep system with lots going on, partly being in Salem, and maybe some not playing quite as hot as he was?
Was hoping someone was going to see him soon. Chris, were you at the game? Any kind of write-up coming?

Ump show in Lowell last night. Winning run came in on a catcher's balk. "What's that?" you ask? That's when the catcher leaves the catcher's box too early on an intentional walk. You're forgiven for not knowing what it is, because it frankly is never called, in part because it's a stupid rule.
Unless the catcher was just standing five feet away from the plate the whole time like he was about to play catch, that's unreal that a game was decided on that. If I'm the Mahoning Valley manager, I'm getting suspended for what I do to the ump after that.

Who had Guerra leading Red Sox minor leagues in HRs in the predictions game?
