Any chance Guerra is getting a promotion? He's out of the lineup today despite having an off day Monday. Granted they do play the next 5 days straight but I would think an off day later on to break up week would be a more expected plan...Given how he has been hitting and the fact that the glove could easily play far up the ladder according to reports, it would make some sense.

Midway through today's game, Moncada is at .362 / .444 / .565 in his last 17.5 G / 81 PA. This started immediately after the League AS break, when he had 4 days (including an off day before the break) to work on adjustments. He was .200 / .287 / .289 in 101 PA before the break.
As Chris and Will just tweeted, he's not long for the league, I think.

Dollars to donuts, Moncada won't be on the bus to Augusta.

Moncada goes inside the yard Man is he on a tear! 3 homers in the last 3 games. Wouldn't be surprised if Salem is getting closer.

Deceptively easy speed, or just me?

I mean, I guess he's ok. I was expecting a bit more for $60 million dollars in A ball than a guy with a .763 OPS.

Deceptively easy speed, or just me? Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats 6 min. Last month Dee Gordon's inside the parker was a marvel at 13.95 seconds. My 3-time average on Moncada's today was 14.51 sec

At first when I saw it was an inside the park I thought it might have been a cheapie but then I saw the video... It was crushed.

Deceptively easy speed, or just me? Once he gets moving, man oh man... check out those long, fluid strides. Looks like Mike Trout in upper gear.

Any update on whether Pete Abe still thinks the Red Sox are "losing sleep" over Moncada?

I wonder on average how many feet you need to travel on an inside the park homerun???

Deceptively easy speed, or just me? I think you're on it, he didn't break stride all the way around. Kid's got some athleticism. That's 120 yards around the bases, after all. I actually like his swing from the right side a little bit more than from the left. But hey, if he's going to slug like that either way who cares?

His swing from both sides does look good! Definitely not a Panda candidate. Finally looking like the player we all thought he was going to be. He probably will move pretty quickly. Like to see him in Salem soon, and then he puts it into "Mookie" overdrive next season.
