It would be great if Ramos could get back on track after the consecutive injuries he's had

Sam Travis with 2 more hits, including a 2B. Does anyone think Sam travis's swing is designed to create power down the line, or is he always going to be a line drive hitter?

Benintendi 1-2, HR, 2 BB. I don't think he could stay in Lowell too long

Benintendi 1-2, HR, 2 BB. I don't think he could stay in Lowell too long But his average with RISP was only .167 entering today. He's clearly not helping his team in the clutch, and we don't need somebody else who chokes on the MLB team. He needs at least a full season in Lowell, and might have to repeat the level if he doesn't improve upon that soon. Clearly wooden bats have gotten into his head. Probably a bust.

Benintendi 1-2, HR, 2 BB. I don't think he could stay in Lowell too long Given his lack of experience with wooden bats, I would give him more time in Lowell. The days off certainly helped. 4/11 with 7 bb's in the 5 games since.

24.5% walk rate -12 walks in 49 PAs for Benintendi. I realize it's a small sample, but if he's already getting pitched around, he's already ready for Greenville.

He's not getting pitched around so much as he's much better than most SSA hitters at laying off pitches out of the strike zone. That's not the reason he's in Lowell, though - my guess is that the Red Sox know he's not going to sweat the pitches he can't hit and they want to see him punish the pitches that he can.

I really liked the discussion by Ian (?) about this issue with respect to Sam Travis on the most recent podcast, fwiw.
