Did Harold Reynolds really just say on MLB Network that he thinks the Royals have a really good chance of signing Cueto after this season? Is this guy ever in touch with reality?

Added to his sex crimes ,are racist comments on players. ESPN just fired a guy for his comments on the brain power of guys from the D.R. MLB network must be deaf, dumb, and blind.

But if he's that bad, then why do you listen/watch?

I guess to the casual fan, he's as charismatic as he is inaccurate.

I think he's more ignorant than hateful, He has a good speaking voice.

I think he's more ignorant than hateful, He has a good speaking voice. Think his point is Ray, that they deadline Reynolds on their "front row" of hosts and whenever anything important is occurring baseball wise? Reynolds is always going to be on that panel, throwing out silly nonsense. MLB has to have a balanced panel.. It's why he's there.. Just get someone on that panel full time who knows baseball is the answer and isn't a ding-a-ling ia all MLB needs to do.. I have proposed Mariners announcer Dave Sims several times at different places. He's knowledgeable of the game and fits the bill.

Some of you are just unbelievable. Harold Reynolds may or may not be a scum bag and there are certain things he's not an expert on such as whether or not the Royals can sign Cueto after the season or not but he's actually very good at knowing the game itself and the players in it. He has his strengths and weaknesses just like anyone else but he's certainly not a schmuck who knows nothing about baseball. God if some of you were half the experts you think you are you'd be the best baseball people around.

I understand the Reynolds criticism but I do think it's a little extreme. He kind of reminds me of the smart kid in class who passes with a C- because he never studies or does his homework. Harold Reynolds knows the game of baseball as well as anyone out there, but there are times when it is blatantly obvious he hasn't done any research into the players he is talking about and it makes him sound dumb, but he's not.

That's the thing - he knows incredibly little about baseball, for someone that played it. He consistently is wrong about nearly everything he says and his opinions generally lack any semblance of logic.

I think there is a difference between saying someone knows little about baseball than saying someone knows very little about a player. Reynolds knows about baseball he just doesn't do any research on the players he often has to talk about.

I think there is a difference between saying someone knows little about baseball than saying someone knows very little about a player. Reynolds knows about baseball he just doesn't do any research on the players he often has to talk about. It often has very little to do with specific players or situations and a general set of opinions on the sport that most here (and most rational and up to date thinkers in general) disagree with vehemently. That combined with the fact that he has no clue what he's talking about and makes stuff up half the time is why he's the worst.
