Raudes: 5IP 4H 2ER 1BB 6K I'm probably wanting a scouting report for Rowdy Raudes moreso than any other player in the system for which we don't currently have one. Happy to see some K's in todays line....he's really handling the transition to the GCL extremely well, about as well as Espinoza, statistically speaking, and he's the same age if I'm not mistaken. Make no mistake, I don't expect him to be throwing 94-98 with promising CU, CH, and command.....but I'm curious to see if the scouting report suggest a legit prospect.

Raudes is a little less than two months older than Espinoza.

Tyler Spoon added to the Lowell roster. Michael Gunn down to Lowell, Taylor Nunez up to Greenville.

Greenville Top of the 10th Pitching Change: Jose Diaz replaces Ryan Hafner. Yoan Moncada doubles (18) on a line drive to center fielder Zach Sullivan. Michael Chavis flies out to center fielder Zach Sullivan. Rafael Devers singles on a ground ball to left fielder Ryan Aper. Yoan Moncada scores. Rafael Devers out at 2nd on the throw, left fielder Ryan Aper to catcher Felix Castillo to second baseman Rony Cabrera. Andrew Benintendi homers (2) on a line drive to right center field. Danny Mars flies out to left fielder Ryan Aper.
hahah. This 1 through 4.

Witnessing Benintendi's power translate to wood bats and the minors has been very exciting.

Witnessing Benintendi's power translate to wood bats and the minors has been very exciting. He's the best prospect in the system. Only challenged by Moncada.

I would say based on what we've seen at this point that there are at least 4 names that are fairly interchangeable for title of "best" (Devers, Moncada, Espinoza, Benny)

Love the reports on Espinosa. Need to see him log some innings first though.

It's pretty crazy how deep that Greenville team is. Michael Chavis, a first round pick and legit exciting prospect in his own right, is almost forgotten about because of the terrific players around him.

If you include Guerra and to a lesser degree Longhi, that is a nasty lineup for Greenville and Salem.

I believe I've previously said the best college hitter should start the next season in Double-A. I still believe that with Benintendi. Not sure what that has to do with my comment though.

So Benni starting in A+ next year is the equivalent.

I thought that the top college hitter was supposed to be in Salem? This seems like an inside joke, however it got me thinking about his conservative assignment and Benny just isn't the usual "top college hitter" kind of guy. He had just 2 years of experience and he kind of sucked in the first. It wasn't until the second year that he became Barry Bonds, so it seems that only recently he began to fulfill the promised he showed in high school. Yeah, sort of captain obvious on my part, but I do have to wonder if him starting so low in the minors will have any effect on his position in the offseason rankings.
