Not surprising. Hill has always had an outstanding curve with a lot of travel.

Rich Hill is a hell of a story. He'd be a nice minor league signing this offseason (either as Pawtucket rotation depth or as a potential lefty reliever).

I recall one spring when we brought him in, he was throwing up to 94-95 on the stadium gun and from the side. He looked damned tough.

Is rich good enough for a 40 man roster spot this winter?

I was so excited for Rich Hill, the reliever, when he was ripping up the minor leagues a couple of years ago ... just before he ripped up his elbow.
You don't see that kind of a curve very much anymore. These guys are having all kinds of trouble with it.

Man, Sandy Leon is really bad at hitting baseballs with a bat. At least when those balls are moving.

Congrats to Rich Hill on a great return to the bigs. Get him a run.

I just tuned in. Another lesson in how life is not fair. Hill deserved a run or two.

And now that I see the lineup, I understand.

Looks like they're purposefully not trying to win.

Does Allen Craig have the same facial expression as Allen Webster? Unfortunately it just looks a bit hang-dog.

Looks like they're purposefully not trying to win. That will happen the day after everybody has a Saturday night out clubbing in Florida to celebrate Papi's 500th HR milestone.

He was suppose to be off yesterday. Wanted to hit against Harvey.Talked his way into the line up, per manager. Be prepared, he will sit more, the last two weeks.

He did bat again but they might win anyway. I'd give no hope Leon ab/s over Craig. This is clearly a we messed up, try to salvage something deal. Just pay him to go away.

Craig, Marrero and Leon ahead of JBJ in the lineup? Seems legit. Glad I decided to watch football instead.

They need to protect themselves and approximately what they did for Hanley... except this time DFA Craig don't they need the 40 man spot for Couch or Scott of just about anybody else ... right now I would bet anyone of the Pawtucket relievers could even hit better!

Craig is on pace for a -5.6 fWAR/500 PA. Actually it might be lower if his fWAR drops another 0.1 today.
