In case people actually want to discuss things related to the rankings voting, do so in here.

I do!
Just by eyeballing the list, it looks like Espinoza has the 2nd spot locked up for now. It's pretty interesting to see the battle for third between Benintendi and Devers, and a favorite doesn't look obvious just by scanning the lists (Benintendi even got a 1st place vote, as did Espinoza, which I like to see). In a general sense, the community is higher on Benintendi/Espinoza and lower on Devers/Margot than SP.com. We love shinny things.
I put Espinoza 4th. I'm not down on him, I just think there is still a lot that has to go right for him to reach his reasonable projection. I guess you could say the same about Moncada, Devers, and Benintendi, but I just see more risk in the 18 year old, smallish pitcher throwing gas.

Great point - I believe newer players and players with better stat lines tend to perform better in the community poll versus the SP brass rankings.
Like last year, we'll probably be unveiling our brass rankings in conjunction with unveiling our end-of-season list.

Random thoughts on the SP.com year-end list as compared to my own: -Basabe at 12 is aggressive. I don't know that he has the ceiling to be ranked that high considering how far from the majors he is. -I just can't get excited about Stankiewicz and his 13.2% strikeout rate. I have him at 32, down with Trey Ball, Aaron Wilkerson, and Kevin McAvoy. -Sean Coyle at 46 and Henry Ramos at 47-- I know health is at least somewhat a skill, but they've dropped too far, too fast for two guys who had been in or approaching the top twenty as recently as six or seven months ago. -Ditto for Simon Mercedes being out of the top 60.
