This is where it would be nice having Carson Smith out there. I wonder if Barnes might be handed the ball after Ross. Or a $13m reliever who could pitch more than an inning They aren't going to do that after he pitched last night.

Not ascribing that error on this, but wonder how being the starting LF affects Holt pregame work at the 6 other positions he can play

Hanley is doing work on the basepaths. Time for Pablo to popout to second or strikeout.

Woooo, look at Hanley causing havoc on the basepaths.

Rusney to LF? Or Pablo at 3B?

If you're going to pinch hit Pablo for Young why not make the defensive switch the inning before? I rather have Pablo at third base and Holt in left than Holt at third and Young in left.

Time for Pablo to popout to second or strikeout. Give the guy a chance, huh? We are gonna need him to do well this year.

Geez, two strikes given away by Swihart in this Napoli PA. And then the HR.

Wouldn't have left Noe Ramirez in there after they took they lead. Barnes is the better middle reliever.

Can't wait for Eric to chalk this one down as yet another proof that Vazquez would have saved a run over Swihart.

And Farrell continues his strange bullpen usage by going to Barnes now, down 1.

Need to trust Barnes more. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. His spring training results actually matched how he looked as a pitcher.

He's a sunk cost, time to move on. I get the frustration and he was just about the worst player in the league last year...but I don't think it is remotely likely they will release him with 4 years and 76 million on his contract..so I am gonna choose to get behind the player and hope he can rebound, to at least be a tradebale asset. Agree to disagree and the like.
