I think I'm seeing this correctly. Benintendi has 20 hits so far this year, 13 of which are for extra bases after his first 4 AB today.

I like the Doc Ock nickname. Ed Jensen has been calling him Ock for a while now.

Benintendi and Moncada are pretty clearly too good for Salem, I know it's early but I really think they should both get the call up soon.

Ockimey really needs to close that stance if he wants to advance any further.

Ockimey really needs to close that stance if he wants to advance any further. Kind of an interesting situation that happens every year with a player or two. The general situation is that you have a kid doing well relative to his age at a low level. How do you go up to him and say "the 1.078 OPS is great but you are doing it wrong". Chances are the average pitcher in low A or even high A isn't going to be experienced or good enough to exploit that and chances are he won't struggle statistically until he gets to AA. It's kind of an interesting generic situation all around. For reference, I haven't seen him get to anything in the lower outside quadrant but I haven't seen all of his ABs.

Ockimey really needs to close that stance if he wants to advance any further. Doesn't Kyle Schwarber have the wide stance?

You've been carrying that torch for so long now it should be your avatar. Oh yeah it's coming when he makes it into the bigs, as much as it pains to leave the American Ninja behind.

I see that Washington is our 55th rated prospect. Times may be a changin'. Washington is the most fringey of those 3 still. He hit pretty well last year, but the power (we knew he had raw power) didn't really show in Lowell. He's mashing this year, but he's almost 22 so he's no spring chicken. He's also still striking out at 28% walking only 2%. Maybe he'll be the Brentz type minus the injury/shooting himself issues. His ceiling I would think is a Grichuk type player.

This is his first full season and his profile says high ceiling, low floor, it's all or nothing baby. system IsoP leaders: Washington .377 Ockimey .333 Benintendi .317 then a big step to Betts & company at .235
