So Solomon Hill just got $13M per year. Still think that is out of the question for Crabbe? No. Things just got crazy. What do you think Sullinger gets now?

Anybody else have the feeling that Ben Bentil will end up being an absolute steal in the 2nd round, ala Draymond Green? Bigger guy can play on both ends of the floor and was overshadowed by Dunn at a smaller program. But hes still relatively young (21) and showed immense improvement last season at the collegiate level. I think he will only get better as he is surrounded by better players. I'm not saying he will be Green, just that he could be a guy who ends up outplaying his draft position. Very excited for this core and young team. I think he was a steal, but he's not Green. Needs to work on D and passing.

Lol Fournier resigned with Magic for 5/85... That's actually good for the Celtics keeps them from falling too far down.

Bayless is a solid add at short money for the Sixers. It's even better if he's a bench piece. Quiet move that fits their team well.

What are people's Horford thoughts?
I think he's worth signing at the max personally. His age is a big downside, but bigs with a shooting touch age better than most other types of players. Horford isn't depending on elite athleticism to stay productive. And he's a much better fit for a space and pace offense than Howard. He will open up the lane for IT and Brown. He should also grab more boards not being paired with great bigs anymore.

Sure why not sign Horford.

Howard to ATL, meaning it's Boston, OKC, or Bouston for Horford. Houston doesn't have the young talent or depth to entice a star IMO. I think they may trade for Kanter allowing OKC to grab Horford, or just lose out if Boston signs Horford and OKC stays put.
It would be funny if we sign Horford tonight and bring him to the KD pitch tomorrow.

At least it makes things interesting... I really like that Crowder and Thomas are traveling with the front office people around the country for these meetings..

Thomas has almost been functioning as a member of the front office, the dude is definitely working overtime.

If you want any chance at KD I assume getting Horford is a must.

The Suns signed Jared Dudley. He's one of my favorite NBA players. He's always been under-rated and just gets it and he knows his role. He's going to help that team a lot in my opinion as a glue guy who will fit the pieces together. He offers great protection while Bender and Chriss develop. By no means is he a starter but I do think he's a season changer but not a game changer, if that makes sense.
I'm entirely looking at this from a Celtics perspective - meaning he's going to help them win more games than the Nets.
Changing gears, I am really interested to see who else the Sixers add after signing Bayless. I like that add for them; think it improves them but I also think it shows Collangelo is moving them into the next phase - they are done tanking which is good news for the Celtics as well.

Ok I officially don't feel good about getting Horford. I agree. Felt like he'd sign last night. Fact that he didnt, makes me think he goes elsewhere. He may be giving Atlanta time to move some other salary and offer the max that he wants.

He may be giving Atlanta time to move some other salary and offer the max that he wants. I thought the same thing. I expected to wake up this morning to news that he had signed. The fact that he hasn't is not a good sign. My optimistic side is tellibg me he may be waiting on Durant though, i.e., an "I'll sign there if you do" type of situation. Pure speculation on my part, but he may not want to go to Boston unless his buddy is going too (especially since OKC is interested in signing him as well). They could be a package deal wherever they end up.

I wondered back when Atlanta was rumored to want Noel if resigning Horford and trading Millsap was something the Hawks would try.
Millsap for Howard is, overall, probably a negative but could you get more from Horford at PF next to a pure C. Plus whatever you get for Millsap . . .
The window for the Hawks had a chance to close but they could keep it open longer.

I think if Durant goes back to Thunder Horford goes there. Now if Durant goes Warriors or Clippers what does Horford do?

Supposedly down to Wizards vs Celtics, per the Vertical. Decision tonight.

If the Celtics lose out to the Wizzard that is not good at all. You need to be able to sell yourself to Horford that you are better than them and they already are capped out. If you can't, we are screwed. The Wizzards have Beal and Wall who on paper see more attractive than the pieces the Celtics have but in reality they aren't. So basically, as the teams sit today, the Celtics are better than the Wizzards. Both can add Horford and then the Wizzard are done. The Celtics can add Horford and more pieces this year , plus are set up for the future with players who can develop and top draft picks.
It should be a no brainer between the two teams.

If they lose out to the Hawks or Thunder, that we can justify.

It's also possible he's might be trying to leverage them into as much money as he can possibly get knowing that they would love to be able to bring horford to their Durant meeting, or at least be able to tell him that deal is done, which would mean they'd have to get it done before tonight. Cause it's true, there's no team/organization based reason that Horford would want to play for DC- they couldn't even get the Durant meeting, and beyond that, I'd much rather play for Brad Stevens than Scott Brooks based on how much stevens gets out of his players

If they lose out to the Hawks or Thunder, that we can justify. On one hand, its good that it seems the main competitor is only the Wizards. On the other, its concerning he is seriously considering the Wizards over the Celtics.
