Looks like Pawtucket and Salem will both play 2 tomorrow...
These 7 inning double headers gonna be the death of Benintendi's hit streak...Nah who am i kidding he doesnt need the 9 innings.

I've updated the probables to include Joe Kelly starting for Pawtucket tonight.
It also appears Keith Couch will start for Portland as well.

Benintendi singled to RF in 1st AB, extends streak to 23. Also Devers drove in 2 with a bases loaded single.

Also Moncada's 2nd HR to right center was an absolute missile

All top three players in the Salem lineup are 1-3 today. That brings all of their averages *down*.

What's with Trey Ball?? Nice 5 innings of 2 hit ball and zero runs. Who is this man?

Ball so far: 6IP 2H 0R 0BB 2Ks
Certainly nice WHIP, nice to see no walks, 2Ks aren't too exciting.
I haven't given up on him, though. He's still got stuff that can play.

I always thought he had the stuff to be successful, but the execution was just beyond his grasp. Here's to hoping his reach gets longer this year.

That's 70%. And **only 61 pitches for 6 innings!* 2K is underwhelming, but I'll take no walks and weak contact.

Looks like Benintendi is still an absolute beast who is completely underwhelmed by his competition.

Pawtucket hit with some of that Owens mojo from yesterday: Elias and light combine for 11 walks in 7 innings.

Looks like Benintendi is still an absolute beast who is completely underwhelmed by his competition. I'll just pray he goes 0/0 tomorrow with 4 or 5 walks so his hitting streak ends, thereby also ending any (il)logical reason why he's still with Salem. Or maybe they're just waiting for him to hit a homerun so they can cross out "Never hit a homerun in A+" from his resume.
