Hopefully Brian Johnson can go deep & beat the Scrant/WB Yankees. Half their team must be on the big club.

Well, Johnson had 15 HRs in around 550 ABs at Florida, so he had a little pop in his bat.

Portland with yet another 1 run loss. If only there was a way to do something about that.
Brian Johnson with another game without his signature command.

I'm really starting to like this Ockimey kid. What I think is a nice positive sign: .323 / .447 / .645, 16 SO, 12 UBB in his first 16 G and 74 PA .143 / .351 / .250, 11 SO, 9 BB in his next 9 G and 37 PA 4/5, 2B, HR, 0 SO, 3 BB in his last 2 G Now, the middle line may be a stretch of messed-up mechanics, in which case 9 games is a quick fix. It may be opponents making an adjustment, in which 9 games to counter it is also a quick fix. Or it may be lousy BABIP luck (only one single), in which case he didn't change his approach at all, which is what you want to do and which many players find hard to do. No matter what the cause, that this didn't become a prolonged slump is very good news. In two games he's recovered all but 1 of his 31 lost points of OBP, and 57 of his 123 lost points of SA. The overall line of .295 / .446 / .579 with 26 BB ( 2 IBB) and 27 SO remains startlingly good for a guy who came into the season with a big need to learn strike zone command. I suspect this guy scored very high on their makeup and neuropsych evaluations.

By the end of June half of Salem will trade places with half of Portland.

I'm really starting to like this Ockimey kid. Can he be promoted @ the break & push Longhi to Portland? They are both young (20). Weems does not seem to be cutting it in Portland. I know they just signed an Indy kid for AA (Longhi can platoon & play some OF), just think Ockimey needs to be promoted @ the break if he continues as he has.
