My expectations for this team are all out of whack right now. Eight runs in three innings doesn't strike me as anything more than a solid output. It's going to be rough in the game thread when the Red Sox "only" score 5 runs.

Lol since the first game of the A's series the Sox have scored at least 1 run in 31 of 55 innings for 56%.
They're also now 28/30 for steals on the season. Maybe RAJ has found his calling in baseball as a first base coach haha

Major in-season trades before June - name the last one. (Note: Not trying to make an argument, just trying to answer the question) 4/27/15: Josh Hamilton traded from LAA to TEX 4/05/15: Craig Kimbrel and BJ Upton from ATL to SD for Cameron Maybin, Carlos Quentin, Jordan Paroubeck, and Matt Wisler 5/27/15: Juan Uribe and Chris Withrow from LAD to ATL for Alberto Callaspo, Eric Stults, Ian Thomas and Juan Jaime 5/10/15: BOS sends Edward Mujica to OAK. (Just noted because it's Boston) 4/18/14: Mets send Ike Davis to PIT 4/11/13: Rockies send Aaron Harang to Seattle (not sure when he was last relevant) 4/6/13: Dodgers send Aaron Harang to Rockies 4/21/12: Red Sox send Michael Bowden to Cubs for Marlon Byrd 5/3/12: Padres send Ernesto Frieri to Angels

Wow, Farrell is being pro-active rather than reactive?
Shocking really.

2016 priorities: 1). Win Worlds Championship 2). Pay proper homage to Big Papi during final season. 3). Shoot Scott Boras, so that we can...4). Lock up Xander and JBJ for the next 8 or so years Do it!! I made an insert here. I sure do wish they had sent X down for a couple of months back in 2014 when he was struggling. It would have saved a year of service time. The decision not to do that robs us of his 2020. Didn't understand it at the time, don't understand it now.

The new and improved proactive John Farrell decides to check that gate before all of the horses have fled the barn. This toast is for you, Proactive John.

O'Sullivan has pitched 10 innings through the 4th this game/year and the offense has scored 19 runs for him.

Bringing in Ross didn't work, but for once it was actually a good managerial decision there.

If only they had brought in Matt Barnes....we would probably be out of this inning.

Why would no one be warming right now? I think (formerly "Proactive") John Farrell is a "stick to the plan" kind of guy.

The ball is making a different sound off Bogie's bat of late. Stud. He gives every impression of already being what we'd all hoped, maybe even more. Maybe not the 30HR yet, but if he doesn't finish .320/.380/.550 or so, I'll be pretty surprised. Can't overlook the baserunning and defense, too. Total package.

Remy is killing it with his analysis lately. Good insights on Hanley's leg kick. I liked Orsillo but having him out of the booth has elevated Remy. The giggle fests are over.
