Gonzalez and the Drive hoping to avoid Augusta's slipknot?

Apparently the PawSox game starts at 4:35. Very strange though, yesterday I was listening to the Sox game and the radio guy with Joe clearly said 1PM.
Portland up 2-0. Ramos with a HR after his fantastic catch yesterday. . . . Portland don't need no stinkin' replacements. Up 7-0 in the 2nd. Ramos 2-2 2HR. . . . Ramos now 3-3 3rd inning. This time, only a double. He must be getting tired.

Gonzalez and the Drive hoping to avoid Augusta's slipknot? Not a slipknot fan, so it never would have occurred to me. Just looked it up though. Good. Never would have fit in the title line, though.

Carolina League pitchers are intentionaly walking Benintendi now. That must one of the aspects of the game they want him to work on I guess.

We need more info on Sopilka. His page says below average hitter, but not anymore?

We need more info on Sopilka. His page says below average hitter, but not anymore? I can't say I remember him batting (.383/.995) but I remember being impressed with his catching mechanics. I wasn't watching today's game. Moncada 2/4 2BB, 2B, 3SB, CS (.328/.974) Dubon 1/5 2B, BB, 2K (.338/.814) Benintendi 1/3 2BB IBB SB (home) (.351/1.000) Longhi 4/4 2B BB SB (.312/.816) Devers 0/4 BB 2K (.197/.618)

If Benny is going up to Portland soon, maybe matheny should be promoted to Salem. He is too advanced for Greenville.

If Benny is going up to Portland soon, maybe matheny should be promoted to Salem. He is too advanced for Greenville. I think so too. He interests me because his game reminds me of Bubba Bell before his injuries. Nothing seems to stand out for tools or skills yet he's above average everyplace and seems to know baseball beyond his years. He contributes something plus almost every game. It's a shame that Washington has been struggling since they moved him up in the lineup. Earlier when he made contact, he was hitting the ball considerably harder than when Ockimey made contact. Right now he's striking out a lot. Trent Kemp's strikeout numbers are getting scary. 3 more Ks in 4 ABs today. (Another team but surprisingly Sean Coyle's as well)

Well he did steal 3 bases. Maybe he exceeded the speed limit?

Sopilka is an organizational catcher, dont let a small sample of success make you consider him an actual prospect

Rusney's 3 hits: GB single up the middle, infield hit ... and a LD double to RF! Grounded out his 4th time up.

I am inquiring is Sopilka is one of those skinny kids without strength to hit past the infield until he started to put on some muscle. Anyhow, I will keep following until I can catch some games. Headed for Pawtucket today.

The main reason I dont think its too early to say Sopilka is an org catcher is the fact that they've never really tried to develop his bat (never had 130PAs since coming stateside a few years ago) if they actually thought he had any potential I feel like they would try to get him in to more games. If I'm not mistaken he's spent some of the last few years as the 3rd catcher on the depth chart of teams he's been on.
