Man, Jorge De La Rosa just hangs around forever. Dude's amassed -1.5 bWAR for his career, but he just keeps on trucking.

Every 5 pitcher should send him an Xmas card, some body has to be the worse sp in baseball.

I'm looking forward to seeing what damage Arenado can do in Fenway. I understand why Machado gets all the buzz but for my money, I'll take this guy, on both sides of the ball.

Every 5 pitcher should send him an Xmas card, some body has to be the worse sp in baseball. He actually ranks 60th in SIERA out of 156 pitchers with 20 IP as a starter. However, he is 4th worst in bWAR of 145 pitchers with 5 GS. The two worst SP in the majors this year have been the Brewers' Taylor Jungman, -0.9 bWAR in 5 GS, 5.68 SIERA (2nd worst and 6th worst), and the Royals' Kris Medlen, -1.0 bWAR in 6 GS, 5.98 SIERA (3rd worst and 4th worst).

They should just walk Arenado & Storey each time they come to the plate, or at the minimum throw 4 pitches 2 inches off the outside of the plate. Not much else (I think) in the line-up. Also noticed Shaw may miss a game due to a hand issue. As totheheights said, he looked pretty bad on a few pitches right down the middle the other night.

I'm looking forward to the damage the Sox can do against this pitching. This looks lined up to be a good series for the Olde Towne Team ... which, this being baseball, might mean they score a total of 6 runs the whole series. But, c'mon, Jorge De La Rosa going against this Sox team?

Looks like Gray has been very unlucky so far this year. 6.75 ERA with a 2.63 xFIP and 2.56 FIP. That is the biggest difference for pitchers with 30 IP so far this year. 51% LOB seems to kill him. His peripheral stats are all very good.

Yeah I really like Arenado. Puerto Rico has a lot of young talent, they are going to be a force in the World Baseball Classic. Just to name a few...
Carlos Correa Francisco Lindor George Springer Nolan Arenado Javier Baez Christian Vazquez Jake Arrieta Marcus Stroman Berrios (Twins pitching prospect)

I mean, Mike Piazza played for Italy so they're pretty liberal on interpretations of nationality, which I think is good since the whole point of this thing is to grow the game internationally.

Their family is from PR. They are already on the record saying that they'll play for PR which is why I mentioned it.

It's a travesty (ok, maybe not quite) that they don't have his non-AB plate appearances on here. As if a sac fly or a walk aren't relevant items during this streak!

Man, Jorge De La Rosa just hangs around forever. Dude's amassed -1.5 bWAR for his career, but he just keeps on trucking. Were you accidentally reading his Milwaukee Brewers line? B-Ref has him as +13.0 WAR for his career. And from 2013 to 2015 it was +9.5 which is about as good as a Rockies pitcher gets.

Too many things going on at work today, didn't pay attention enough.

Plus, our signing him out of the Mexican League allowed him to be a small part in the Schilling trade and thus the 04 championship.
