Bogaerts is such a disciplined hitter, so impressive.
Add: While I understand the circumstances, it's a bad performance by the rest of the umpiring crew. They weren't quite ready for prime time.

Couldnt have possibly had a better opportunity for a make up call there.

You got to be kidding me?!?!? The Blue Jays get the correct call of course...

The inconsistency of these calls is maddening.

The inconsistency of these calls is maddening. That's the rub, right? I don't care what the rule is, just call it consistently.

Death, taxes, Hanley making an out on the base paths.

Death, taxes, Hanley making an out on the base paths. With two outs, every single player should be trying to take that base.

Exactly. Took a perfect throw and he actually looked to be safe.

I know it doesn't work like this, but if you tack that double onto a correct call at second for Hanley, we have another run.
Also, Shaw!

Last time Xander Bogaerts hit 5 home runs in a month?
June of 2013, when he hit 1 for Portland and 4 in his first 12 games in AAA.

Even though it's 7-3, I'm still mad at this game. It should be 10-1.

With the potential young superstars in Bradley, Betts, and Bogaerts, Travis Shaw really does get overlooked a bit. It looks like he will be a above-average to good player in this league.

This team is resilient. I cant help but still be in 14'/15' mode where i assume once things start going wrong, they wont be coming back.

Marcus Stroman this year vs the Red Sox (2 starts): 10.13 ERA vs everyone else: 3.52 ERA
Do you think he likes to face the Red Sox?

Not just the steals, but plays like taking second on the bubble right there.
