Please vote above for the player you felt had the best month, and discuss your selection below in the thread! You may use almost any criteria you wish in judging each player's month. The one exception is that we ask that voters ignore a player's prospect status - in other words, please don't vote for a player based on the fact that you think he will be a better major league player down the road. However, to be clear, you may use other criteria in judging the candidates relative to one another that go beyond stats, such as age relative to level and the like. Just don't pick, say, a top 10 prospect over an org guy based solely on that. Voting for this poll will close Friday at 4 pm. SP Trey Ball (SAL): 5 GS, 2-1, 30.0 IP, 1.80 ERA, 18 H, 8 R (6 ER), 12 BB, 19 K, 1.00 WHIP, 1.58 K/BB, 5.70 K/9, 2.80 G/F RP Kyle Martin (PAW): 9 G, 0-2, 2 Sv, 14.1 IP, 1.88 ERA, 10 H, 3 R (3 ER), 3 BB, 21 K, 0.91 WHIP, 7.00 K/BB, 13.19 K/9, 2.00 G/F RP Bobby Poyner (GRE): 11 G, 0-0, 9 Sv, 15.0 IP, 0.60 ERA, 3 H, 1 R (1 ER), 0 BB, 15 K, 0.20 WHIP, INF K/BB, 9.00 K/9, 1.70 G/F SP Roniel Raudes (GRE): 5 GS, 3-0, 25.0 IP, 3.60 ERA, 22 H, 13 R (10 ER), 3 BB, 27 K, 1.00 WHIP, 9.00 K/BB, 9.72 K/9, 0.60 G/F RP Ben Taylor (SAL): 6 G, 0-0, 3 Sv, 16.1 IP, 0.55 ERA, 6 H, 1 R (1 ER), 2 BB, 23 K, 0.49 WHIP, 11.50 K/BB, 12.67 K/9, 1.44 G/F SP Aaron Wilkerson (POR/PAW): 5 GS, 2-0, 31.0 IP, 1.16 ERA, 17 H, 4 R (4 ER), 10 BB, 31 K, 0.87 WHIP, 3.10 K/BB, 9.00 K/9, 1.84 G/F May stats

Difficult two-horse race, imo. Depends how much you value a guy pitching starter innings vs reliever innings. Personally, I put a lot into it.

Yep, this was a tough one. I went with Poyner because of only allowing 3 men on base all month. But it was a toss up.

Went Wilkerson, as his stats for a starter in AA/AAA are very impressive and I feel it's harder for a starter to do that when the batters get to see your stuff for 2-3 ABs during a game.

Went with my boy Raudes, wht he's doing at 18 years old in the Sally is pretty unique.

I'm certainly rooting for Wilkerson to succeed but 4/5 of his starts in May came in AA. I can't vote for a 27 y/o putting up good stats in AA. I'm glad Poyner got a well-deserved bump up to Salem but Ball's 30 strong innings is more compelling than Poyner's dominant 15 if you ask me.
