I am old enough (54 this year) to remember those brutal fights with Frazier (it was personal between the 2 of them) especially The Thrilla is Manila. But despite his greatness in the ring what he did outside the ring is what makes his legacy. He transcended sport to become a national icon and treasure. We will not see someone like him in our lifetimes...

They call me "The Spaceman," but I'm really down to earth -- I think. I have my days. I don't hear as well as I used to, but you can't blame that on marijuana. I gotta blame that on high altitudes and Led Zeppelin -- they were good musicians.
