Was it Brian Johnson who's mother was a Doublemint TV AD twin ? I remember the story but don't remember which prospect.

Yes. And guess who might pitch today - or might not.

Different day but the Kopech thread is archived. From Alex Speier's 108 stitches on the outing:
One radar gun had the hard-throwing righty sitting at 97-100 m.p.h. throughout his outing, topping out at an Aroldis Chapman-esque 103 m.p.h.. Just two big leaguers this year – Chapman (39 times) and Mauricio Cabrera (nine times) have thrown a pitch that registered at 102.0 m.p.h. or above. Kopech’s also showed an 89-92 m.p.h. slider and a decent – if largely unnecessary – changeup.

I'll be interested in how Basabe plays today.
OK, I'm actually not, but I just wanted to be able to type "Basabe" without all the qualifiers over which one.

I presume Moncada and Benintende are in San Diego for the Futures game which explains why they didn't play in either game of the doubleheader today for the Sea Dogs. Right?

Thanks. The Futures game will be broadcast live on MLB network at 7 pm EST tomorrow night. In addition to Benintendi and Moncada, other guys with Red Sox connections (e.g. Former players or draftees) include Fulmer, Bregman, Dozier, Asuaje, and Margot). Here are the rosters... mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2016/futures_roster.jsp

Nice line for Devon Fischer today. Was listening to the Portland game on the radio for a little bit this afternoon...someone on Hartford took a pitch to the face and it sounded like a pretty scary situation...anyone hear any updates?
