Clay Buchholz for Netfali Feliz
I think it makes some sense for the Pirates, they have had success with starting pitcher reclamation projects, that and the league change might get Clay pitching closer to the good Clay. Feliz is having a bounce back year, and Pittsburgh has some depth in the bullpen, so they might deal him to the Sox for Buchholz, especially if the Sox would eat some of Buchholz’ remaining $.

I don't like to speculate on specifics (I don't know if they'd be interested in trading Feliz), but the Pirates and Sox do seem to match up well for trades. Buchholz to Pittsburgh could be win/win -- I could see him bouncing back (at least having one of his hot streaks) if he got out of Boston. To connect to a different thread, if there is a desire to move Hanigan (some have expressed and I am less enthusiastic about), he might be a good fit for Pirates too -- so maybe a bit larger a trade?

PIT is three games out of the WC and by multiple accounts is looking for both SP and RP help. Given the foregoing, your proposal seems unlikely at best.
PIT may take Clay as a reclamation project but they (and no one else either) will not be trading anything of value for him.

Pittsburgh has a track record of success with reclamation projects, but with Buchholz, they may need a whole spring training to get his mechanics sorted out. I doubt any team, except Miami, could fix him this year.
