Rusney is on a nice little hot streak, and good to see Johnson have another good start.

Nogosek is interesting but his BBs have been a problem in the past. Hopefully he keeps dominating, though.

Eddy Reynoso is rolling in the DSL. Any chance he comes stateside this year? Also pumped to see Cosart, Nogosek and Smith get promoted. Big time strikeout guys

He is still hitting for no power and is a GB hitter. Benintendi is already much better than him.

They'd have to pay an extra $1.5m or so to call up Castillo this season. If Castillo isn't on the 40-man roster (as is the case right now), his salary doesn't count for luxury tax calculations. That said, I do think that, if one of them will start versus just about every LHP, Castillo is better enough than Brentz to make it worth it. If they're just easing Benintendi in and he'll eventually start against a big chunk of LHP, the playing time gets limited enough that it becomes a closer question whether the extra payout is worth it. But even then, I tend to think-- in the stretch drive of a heated playoff chase, and for what amounts to couch-cushion money for Henry & co., they should be putting the better player out there.

Salem turned in a triple play. There's a video clip on Kevin Burke @kburke90 twitter page.
