Imagine if Santa came and he left you an awesome present but for some reason you needed to leave it in its packaging until the beginning of March. That's today.
-----
The DSL teams would both clinch the playoffs with wins today. DSL Red Sox2 would win the Northeast Division outright with another win. Red Sox1 have the second best winning percentage in all of the DSL, but would only be clinching the wild card. They are only 2.5 ahead of the Royals in the Northwest.

The DSL standings are interesting. There are a few teams with very, very good records and a couple with very bad records. Does this reflect different levels of involvement in recruiting Latin players by various major league organizations?
I know it's been said around here that the Sox don't necessarily have any clear top-notch prospect on their DSL teams. If that is true, what is driving this 90+ win, <40 loss juggernaut?

Older/more experienced players.
The DSL Red Sox2 pitchers are quite young though.

Thanks for the Basabe BP/Live AB video. Great watching a player none have us have seen much of yet.
His FRAA has been fantastic in CF for 2 years, and he's a good baserunner, so hopefully the bat keeps looking good too.

Then K's the next 2 batters

Then he strikes out the second and third hitters. Probably shouldn't start in the majors Saturday in place of Rodriguez but I'm on the fence still.

Another guy with an "obedient curve." I'm leaning towards the MLB spot start, myself. Forget David Clyde!

Why is Groome rated so low? This is BS.
Was the thread title a play on the song "Boom" by P.O.D and not Green Day?

K, F8, DOUBLE, 4-3
Unacceptable. Time to see if SD is willing to take 50 cents on the dollar for him. Need to recoup at least some value.

Groome is done. He might end up a reliever if he can't go deep in games

He had 3 K's but those were 3 very immature K's.

I probably have to examine the data more closely before confirming, but I think that Groome's outing may have been the most dominant 30-pitch stretch in the history of professional baseball.

Clearly, he was distracted when giving up that double. I don't expect it to happen again. As he moves up, the doubles will become more K's.

A good performance and a few good jokes in the GDT. Can't ask for much more.
