GCL Sox postponed ... tropical storm. Twins are trailing 1-0
Decent weather expected tomorrow 9-1, final day of regular season, so Sox probably play. Wonder if they will be playing doubleheader vs O's.

Huh. So much for Kopech getting called up to Boston.
ADD: But we all knew that anyway.

How off was Kopech? Close? No idea where the ball was going? Given his ball/strike split and wild pitch, I worry it is Blass-ian (Bard-ian?).

He was walking people on purpose because that's how good he is. How else would he get any experience pitching with the bases loaded? Unfortunately, he then gave up the HR. I didn't realize it was even possible for someone to square up a ball well enough to hit one out against him.

He had too much spin rate today, spinning out of the zone. He is now the coldest pitcher going in baseball.

Basically one of the most disastrous days for the farm system in awhile. Only one win, and a few of the teams got/are getting the snot kicked out of them. Only prospect really doing anything today is Dalbec.

Owens was the only stateside starter who wasn't a disaster. Couch, Kopech, De Jesus, and Hernandez were all roughed up badly.
Connecticut lost their game, so Lowell has clinched at least a tie in the Stedler. Greenville officially eliminted.

Yikes, bad day for Kopech. I'm sure he'll recover, but a good reminder of how far he still has to go.

My boy Couch pitched very poorly today, it's like he was saying "you see what Wright gave you guys today? I can give you more than that!" I explain that as a pure desperation move, he just doesn't know what else he has to do for that spot start.

Kelly seems to keep falling down in Boston, but with the way he's been pitching and the problems in the Sox bullpen, they need to call him up and give him a shot. It's expanded rosters, now, too. No excuses.
EDIT: Spelling

EDIT: Spelling I think I've read that if they don't call him up, they'll get another year of control out of him, but I think that's about the dumbest possible reason to do anything for this team. Someone did the days of service math and he's about 2 days short of another year of service.
