Take notes everyone. Step 1: tell your friends you can't go out tonight because you need to watch the game Step 2: take a shower Step 3: sit on the couch and turn the TV on Step 4: see your team down 2-0 in the first inning against an ace The mistake was the shower. Nasty habit of mine.

This is starting to feel like 2011 Farrell is not the right Manager for this team going forward but in his defense the Offense has to HIT the ball.. 4 hitters in the lineup are young players with not much experience, add Leon and AB and there might be the problem with mental fatigue here late in the season.. You have to win Home series

This is starting to feel like 2011 I really don't understand why this team keeps getting compared to 2011. There are some superficial similarities, such as a difficult-to-trust bullpen and a booming offense. And yet the 2011 team held a NINE GAME wild-card lead on Sept 3rd, this team hasn't even sniffed that. So far this month, the Red Sox are 7-5. The 2011 team went 7-20 in September. Step off the ledge...

Wait - they are showing a rerun on my teevee - haven't we seen this game already this season? Or at least a reasonable facsimile?

Porcello and Price and the rest ain't to nice. Price and Porcello - the rest are like jello (I know - not very good - but there is a long way to go and it probably won't be very pleasant. And I am an optimist!)

I don't think I can take much more of this tonight. Stolen base for Headley the speed merchant. I am going to watch AB's at bat and call it. They typically lose if they score less than 5 runs and I don't seem them getting 5 or more off of Tanaka.

You can't lose 3 games in a row at home to divisional opponents. You simply can't. That's out of a textbook somewhere on how to not blow the division. The offense is in complete shutdown mode.

Load bases with 1 out for Papi and Mookie, 1 run scored. Leadoff walk to Brett Gardner and a comedy of errors, 1 run scored.

They don't have to be as bad as 2011 to blow the division and possibly a playoff spot. I don't think they'll do the latter but I do think they'll do the former. Meanwhile it's 5-1. Nothing like the home field advantage.

Raise your hand if you trust Clay Buchholz tomorrow to stop the bleeding?

the challenge is predicting which remaining relievers will appear in tonite's game. not that it is a predictable thing. Farrell pulls names out of a hat.
EDIT: Tazawa is a certainty. Tazawa Abad Ross Scott
do we see Owens?

Is it too early to be concerned that the Sox could lose at least three out of four against NY at Fenway?
