With the way last night went, we can safely assume E-Rod will toss 8 shutout innings and we'll score like 6 off Tanaka.

Both pitchers have pitched well against the teams their facing so it could be a low scoring affair and we know how those go. If the Sox lose tonight and tomorrow with Buchholz starting, it could get a little ugly.

I shouldn't always assume my sarcasm will be obvious on the internet.

I shouldn't always assume my sarcasm will be obvious on the internet. Yeah, but at the same rate, nothing ruins a great sarcastic post like a "/s".

I have been mildly frustrated this season about being excited about some of these positive road trips and the feeling of disappointment on the homestands (some of which were against terrible teams middle the season IIRC). The home record should be better and the guys need to make the most out of the last 7 games. We need 5-2 at a minimum, which would greatly helped by feasting on the most douchnozzle organization ever known to man. Sweep these mellon farmers!!!

Take notes everyone.
Step 1: tell your friends you can't go out tonight because you need to watch the game
Step 2: take a shower
Step 3: sit on the couch and turn the TV on
Step 4: see your team down 2-0 in the first inning against an ace

They're off to a flying start already. Tanaka is not a good guy to spot two runs to early.
And tomorrow Buchholz takes the hill. The saving grace (perhaps) is that the Yankees hardly have Louisiana Lightning going themselves.
It would have been huge if the Sox could have one of the the last two games against Baltimore. Now instead they trail the Yankee tonight and have to hope that the Orioles lose to Tampa - fortunately the Orioles have their crappy pitchers going in the series.

Speaking of which, Baltimore spotted Tampa 3 runs in the 1st. And the Orioles responded with four runs in the last of the 1st.
Nothing like having to hope that your competition loses because you can't take care of business at home.

why did Gardner stare down Eddie like that? Does he seriously think that was on purpose?

why did Gardner stare down Eddie like that? Does he seriously think that was on purpose? it could be to try and intimidate the youngster, who is already on edge. Or it could be he's mickie fickie entitled pr**k that wears a Yankee uniform. I am going with the latter.
