I think the overall lack of patience might be attributed to being such a young team in their first playoff games. Hopefully that gets fixed quickly. I think they'll be fine.
I also hope that Kluber is a bit rusty with 11 days off since his last start which lasted 4 innings.

I think they will be fine too, though Xander specifically looks very lost. Tonight it really comes down to Price - can he deliver 6, 7, 8 strong innings and shake his playoff SSS demons? These playoffs could be a career-defining moment for him.

These playoffs could be a career-defining moment for him. Xander hit .333/.385/.583 in his last 6 games of the season. He looked bad last night, but I think people are overreacting. This isn't 2014 Xander or anything.

Among today's orb-projectors: Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, David Price, Corey Kluber, Jon Lester, Johnny Cueto, Yu Darvish, and Weirdly Good J.A. Happ. I heart you baseball.

What if Happ ends up having the best day of them all? I fear that might open a portal to hell, but no pressure Price.

JF doesn't have courage to sit Xander down with Kluber as starter pitcher today. He strikes out everyone by swinging a wide curve as strike 3. I doubt Xander would lay off like that. He don't have mental to do it.
Secondly, David Price need to throw gem for winning game 2 for the team. He need to focus on present game, not from past failures. The team need to catch Corey with fast start due to his health & rusty concerns. No excuse....

The most valid excuse is: baseball (and it's a great excuse)
Baseball is weird. I like Boston's team and think they're simply better. Dance with who brought you.

What if Happ ends up having the best day of them all? I fear that might open a portal to hell, but no pressure Price. If J.A. Happ winning 20 games and posting a 134 ERA+ didn't already open a portal to hell then I think we're cool today. But I agree, David Price should probably throw a shutout just so that we're on the safe side.

After seeing the ball fly out of the park to RF so easily last night, and knowing Kluber is substantially better against RHHs, I'd seriously consider starting Shaw at 3B and Holt at SS.

David Price going 8 strong plus getting into the Cleveland bullpen early will be a real key towards the end of the series. Lay off the million curves in the dirt and they've got a good chance.

Replacing Bogaerts with Shaw? Is this real life? You've downgraded both defensive positions and also made the lineup worse. Let's put Aaron Hill at second while we're at it. And gotta get Chris Young into a game here so he can get some reps and be ready for the next lefty starter.

Yeah, Xander definitely needs some rest, I'd give him the day off tomorrow, personally.

Xander was one of the worst shortstops in the league defensively, Holt shouldnt be much worse and Shaw is probably an upgrade over Holt at 3B.

Hey, do you already miss last night Porcello and want some more of that action? Then Darvish is throwing just the game for you!

Toronto still playing fire game and chance to win again with 4 innings to go. I wanted the Red Sox to break their losing ways (6 of last 7 games) and start to fire up all way: keep winning games.

Price had been leaving a lot of balls up over his past couple of starts. If he does that against Cleveland, we will need to put some serious runs on the board.

Benintendi batting 7th. JBJ batting 9th. That's the difference between yesterday and today's lineup.

Had to watch the end of the Jays and Rangers game.
Couldn't stand to listen to the pregame and watch Lebron talk.

Farrell a genius for batting Holt 2nd?
Who would of guessed that this has worked in the playoffs so far.

Excuse me double play ball. Don't tell me the Sox are going to keep running into this kind of bad luck this series.
