I hated Drew being in there, there is a full complement of pitcher / relievers and he stuck with the most inexperienced reliever on the staff. Not understanding it at all. He's actually a more experienced reliever than probably Kelly, Barnes, and maybe Ross.

If the Sox don't come back and win this game, and this Series, watch what the Blue Jays lineup does to pitchers like Bauer & Tomlin.
Looks like a Blue Jays-Cubs WS to me.

That's probably Coco Crisp's last HR of his career. Only in this series will that ever happen.

Welp congrats to the Indians, curious to see what reactionary moves Dombrowski makes for this.

This team going out with a whimper is literally perfect metaphor for this team overall.
Losing 8 of 9 to end the season after winning 11 in a row. That is the 2016 Red Sox in a nut shell.
If John Farrell is here next year, expect more of the same.

I really believe int eh alternate reality where Xander doesn't miss that opening pop-up, we have an entirely different game.

Not this year he isn't. It just seems lazy to me. Pomeranz has plenty of experience as a reliever and the idea was probably to use him this inning and then go with Ziegler, Koji and Kimbrel for the next innings. It obviously didn't work, but it isn't an egregious strategy.

Ouch. This is so painful to watch. Big Papi deserves to go out better than this. How quickly things change in this sport. Two weeks ago, the Red Sox are riding an 11-game winning streak and looking like the best team in the AL. Now on the verge of losing 8 of the last 9 to end the season.

Leyland is packing for the Winter meetings I'll bet you any amount of money that Leyland never manages again. He's 100 years old. STFU Testy tonight hey? Don't yell at me, yell at your boy Farrell

That wasn't a swing, but the frigging pitch was a strike!

The best thing that could happen would be for both Miller and Allen throw 40 pitches again with the Sox winning this one. Making Miller and Allen out of game 4.

Another perfect metaphor for this team was that inning.
Red Sox finally score 1 run to make it a game, give themselves a chance and like they have done all season the bullpen gives it all back and then some to kill hopes.
I'm okay with this sweep happening, as long as it means we never have to watch John Farrell in a Red Sox uniform again.

Pomeranz has been giving HRs all season long. Pardon me. All season in the AL - long.

Good thing the Indians didn't have Salazar & Carassco, or they may not have a scored a run in the Series>LOL

It's easy to see the Red Sox scoring 10 runs off them as easy as it is to see them doing what they've done.
