Judging from your posting, you are captive of facist numerologists. They have given you three binders that contain all the information you might be tested on. You have a single day to study them. The tell you frankly that it will be difficult but by no means impossible to master all of the material in sufficient depth to pass all three tests. What do you do? A) Study all three subjects equally. B) Devote most of your time to Creation Science and kind of skim the other two, because if you don't pass Creation Science, you don't even get to take the others. D) Ask them all to close their eyes and bow our heads in prayer, then tip out the door as they do. Kneel before the God's of SAS and Sabr analysis. Extend your bad science within or without the relevant parameters of sample size, ignore the irrelevancy of post season statistics to regular season statistics and preach to us about climate change models that deny volcanic activity and solar cycles Your kind are the bane of baseball fandom. Pseudo intellectualism taken to a new level. I can understand your jones for believing your numbers but when you go beyond baseball with your snide comments comments you show your true colors. My apologies to those who read this, but this poster is just too arrogant for my sensitivities. I am a Red Sox fan, not a social commentator or numerological elitist.

My apologies to those who read this, but this poster is just too arrogant for my sensitivities. I am a Red Sox fan, not a social commentator or numerological elitist. I'm sorry if I offended you by making evangelicals (and climate change deniers) the bad guys in my little analogy. I thought some might find the idea of evangelical rather than Muslim terrorists amusing, since in reality terrorism is not exactly their style. That they believe in their agenda as passionately as the jihadists believe in theirs is, however, something that's quite obviously true, and that was part of the point of substituting one for the other. Now, you're the one who actually brought politics into this directly, so let me state my position and then we'll be done with it. Calling out evangelicals, evolution deniers, climate change deniers, and the like as a terrifyingly delusional, dangerous and destructive element in our society is something I will never apologize for. If you had to put the reasons why things are so much worse in this country than they deserve to be in a single sentence, it's this: the sociopathic wealthy have rigged the system massively in their favor, and they've done so by convincing conservatives (including essentially all of the evangelicals) to vote against their self-interests (economic and otherwise), by selling them on a whole series of Big Lies. I have nothing but respect for the conservative mind-set, which is absolutely necessary to any functional society -- the reason conservatives evolved (or were put here by God, if you prefer - that's ultimately the same thing in my book) was to prevent the liberals from changing things too quickly. And for much of our history we have had a reasonably functional balance between liberals and conservatives. Heck, I've got free medical insurance that is the glorious legacy of the former Republican governor of the most liberal state in the country. Now, once conservatives make their minds up about something, they do not change them easily, and usually not at all. That's not an accusation -- that's what makes them conservatives, and in proper balance, that resistance to new ideas is good and necessary. That's how bold, new liberal ideas get properly vetted -- by cautious, conservative skepticism. But there's a massive catch here. This resistance to changing one's mind extends not just to ideas, and about the way things have been done versus the way they might be done in the future, but to facts. Once you sell conservatives on an incorrect set of facts, they'll believe them forever, no matter how much evidence or reason you bring against them. And so conservatives in this country have been sold a massive set of Big Lies, first by organized religion, and then by the wealthy elite, who figured out that if they could sell conservatives on certain Big Lies about government and economics, they could rule the country. That's what's happened in a nutshell. And while I consider the religious right to be the cancer at the heart of this country, I feel no enmity at all towards them as individuals -- in fact, I pity them. They've been duped. And now back to pre-game warmups.

For the record, mainstream science is also a religion now. You must believe that the scientists who are being paid to do research to find the desired results are not actually corrupt and cannot be corrupted. Because there sure as hell are no scientists trying to reproduce any study results when they "peer review" anymore. The ability to reproduce scientific experiments is supposed to be the fundamental definition of sound science. Climate change science can't even have any real studies because there are not multiple identical planets for us to experiment on when actually trying to influence global temperatures. Most vaccines are barely studied anymore for effectiveness or safety if they're fast tracked like the flu vaccine. The insert for the flu vaccine even says that it hasn't been tested for safety or effectiveness! I could go on about many other giant corporation-controlled so-called sciences. When there are billions and trillions of dollars at stake, scientists and corporations will do anything at all and call it science and scream at people who question their perfection as anti-science. Any scientists who dare question the fake scientific consensus on any issue are labeled a wacky conspiracy theorist and their careers are destroyed.
This is not me being anti-science. It's me not believing that scientists are infallible and incorruptible. If you don't see this, then you are praying at the alter of mainstream corporate-controlled science.
I'm sure that most who read this post would just label me as a crazy conspiracy theorist because that's how we've all been programmed to do. I don't believe anything at all at face value. I struggle finding the truth on every subject. I was fortunate enough to be raised to question everything, even the most accepted things mislabeled as facts. It's a shame most people aren't like this because we'd all be much harder to program and brainwash. See our wonderful country's election for proof that most people are programmed to think one of two ways. And if you're reading this and want to scream at me for being stupid because I think differently than I'm supposed to and there is no group of people that you can associate me with, then yeah, you've been programmed to believe there are only about 3-4 types of people in the world and no one is capable of being an individual.
But we all are. And that's what's wrong with the world. It's on purpose. People who submit to the group think are way easier to control.
