Anyone else notice that Eric Thames is tearing it up so far for the Brewers? Glad to see him succeding after being excellent in Korea the last three years.

I really wanted the Red Sox to sign Eric Thames this offseason. Alas. At least Moreland has gotten off to a good start to the season.

Cubs pretty blatantly insinuating Eric Thames is on steroids is... not a great look.

Cubs pretty blatantly insinuating Eric Thames is on steroids is... not a great look. Agreed. Especially the comments saying his body changed significantly. The guy has always been jacked, I remember from when he was with the Blue Jays. Plus it's not like he never had power, he's always had easy plus power just a question if he'd make enough contact to use it. None of this is to say it's not possible PEDs are involved, but it's really unprofessional and a bad look considering how just a couple years ago it was a common question with Arrieta, so you'd think they would know better than this.

Yeah, even before Thames was good wasn't his whole deal that he was jacked out of his mind?

Besides the fact...I am pretty sure some of the current Cubs are on steroids also. It's a statistical probability type thing.

Honestly it seems to be another situation of a performance enhancing beard. The league should start looking more into it.

Old friends Jonathan Aro (50 gms, undisclosed) and Jeffry Fernandez (80 games, stanozolol) suspended under the milb drug policy. Gotta think suspension was part of what got Fernandez, who was on the bubble probably anyway, cut coming out of ST.

The Pirates have called up Dovydas Neverauskas. When he debuts he will be the first Lithuanian-born player in MLB history.

He definitely missed 3rd base...Coughlin is also fortunate that Molina didn't flip him on his head.

The Pirates have called up Dovydas Neverauskas. When he debuts he will be the first Lithuanian-born player in MLB history. A quick learning experience for him. Only a few days in and he's going to be one upped: Ken RosenthalVerified account @ken_Rosenthal 4m4 minutes ago #Pirates’ Ngoepe will be not only first major leaguer born in South Africa, but also first from entire African continent, per @adamdberry. Trust me here, announcers are going to choke on the 'Ng' pronunciation. Ng is a letter in some alphabets, like Tagalog, and has a sound that's unlike any words in English or Latin languages.

ESPN cut Jayson Stark, a bit of a shocker. Lot's of negative tweets about it. So far, he's about the only one I knew who he is.
