I'm not a big autograph guy, but my girlfriend's dad gave me an awesome pro preferred Mookie glove for Christmas, and I would like to get it signed because it's for my off hand anyway.
I hate to ask big players for their autograph, especially given that I'm not some cute little kid asking for it.
Does anyone know an avenue to get a signature that isn't intrusive of the players' lives or routine? I really hate to be that guy, but there are only so many of these gloves out there and it's Mookie's first signature glove, so I would really like to get this one autograph.
Any advice (or even scolding) appreciated!

If nobody comes up with a contact, something you can try.
We once bought an artist proof gallery sized wolf sculpture by Kitty Cantrell and wanted her signature. We shipped it to her via UPS and inside the box was another box with our address and prepaid return shipping. We added a gold leaf pen (you can probably find that at a local office supply store), packing tape for the return trip and a nice note. Along with the signed sculpture, we got back a nice note thanking us for our patronage and telling us how nice it was that we were so considerate.
Lol, we told her to keep the pen and what struck us as funny was that when she enclosed the box, she kept the pen but returned the unused packing tape.

Go to an autograph show that Mookie is appearing at and pay $50-100 to have him sign it. That's the least intrusive way.

Mookie is going to be at an autograph show in late April. They haven't announced pricing yet but my guess would be in the $99 range (could be more to sign a glove, they charge more for bigger items sometimes). Any other autograph questions feel free to reach out to me directly at Brian@SoxSignatures.com. Good luck! I'd love to see a pic if you get it signed Here's info on the show: www.hollywoodcollectibles.com/rich-altman-boston-show-2017

Yea go to a show and pay for it. You also typically get a certificate of authenticity that way which doesn't much matter when you plan to keep it for yourself but it's a nice to have and adds credibility and value to the item. Autographs aren't worth much value wise anyways but still.
