Shawaryn with 6K's and no BB's through 3 innings.
Ball with a 1-hit shutout through 3.2 innings, but just 1K and 1BB. Devers 1-2 and Tobias 2-2 (2b) for the Sea Dogs only hits.
ADD: 2 runs promptly score on an error by SS Denier Lopez. Portland trails 2-0.

Shawaryn has a 49-6 K-BB in his last 31 innings. 19 H, 4 ER. Is that at least league average?

Shawaryn has a 49-6 K-BB in his last 31 innings. 19 H, 4 ER. With a deceiving arm slot. Can't wait until he gets to Boston

McGrath and Jimenez in Salem's double dip tomorrow.
Seen both of them live before, obviously not much there. Was looking forward to seeing Lakins again, but hopefully Gonzalez provides some positive stuff.
Definitely excited to watch the offense, Chavis/Ockimey in particular of course. Team continues to rake, and I'm not sure when/if it will slow down

Rafa Devers OBP in the month of May is over .500! That was about the only reservation I had, and he's pushing that aside at this point. What it likely means is that he's quick to adjust to what they'll give him. Since he's pounding AA pitching, they're giving him less and he's taking it. There will be a lot of pressure to bring him up. Take tonight for example. Who would you have rather had coming up for the Sox with two on and two out, Rutledge or Devers? That's not to talk down the former who's a useful utility guy, just an acknowledgement that Devers is already a dangerous hitter at the tender age of 20. He's knocking on the door, and while they probably won't let him in just yet, he will round out that lineup nicely at some point.
