Dalbec is no longer on the GCL Red Sox roster. Also, it looks like Alejandro Rodriguez was promoted from the DSL to the GCL.

We'll see if he can start pulling the ball with authority like he was after being drafted last year. His batted ball profile in Greenville looks pretty damn good, until you notice that he's a power hitter struggling to pull the ball this year. Hopefully he has a big half, I really like the kid.

Interested in what you mean with the bolded part. I don't necessarily agree, though I'm also not sure we're talking about the same thing. He was swinging and missing an absolute ton, with a totally unsustainable K rate, and the power wasn't playing.

I meant LD%, GB%, FB%, and Pop% look nice, but then you stop staring at those four boxes, pan out, and start to get sad.

Okay, yes I do agree with that then. I don't know about .433, but his early-season profile definitely aligns a higher-than-usual BABIP, which gave him a respectable .716 OPS despite his other struggles.

Rodriguez is having a tremendous season in DSL, but it is obviously difficult to project once you come stateside. What can we expect from him? Is he going to start or piggyback?

He's 20 and this is his 4th year in the DSL. I wouldn't expect much.

He's 20 and this is his 4th year in the DSL. I wouldn't expect much. I was thinking the same thing. He started out on fire and hasn't tailed off much. There is also a pitcher down there that's been in the DSL for a fourth year. You don't see that often. Edit: Nevermind, I was thinking that Alexander Rodriguez, the outfielder, was getting the call. He is also 20 but not in his fourth year.

I noticed that there is a GCL player, Hardy, that is listed as "restricted". What does that mean?

Four of the older J2 signings were added to the DSL roster: Jose Larez, Juan Morillo, Isaac Pinales, and Yasel Santana.
Also, Dalbec was activated by the Drive.

We're hoping for some first hand reports, Ed. We're all going to be curious how he looks after his surgery. Does he look hesitant or hampered by wrist in any way.

Corresponding move for Dalbec is moving Ryan Scott to the DL. As of right now, I don't think they have a fourth outfielder on the roster.

Bobby Dalbec starting at third and batting fifth.

The most amazing thing about Alejandro Rodriguez getting promoted to the GCL today is that he and Rafael Devers both played on the 2014 DSL team. It also leaves Shair Lacrus as the last remaining member of that signing period yet to come stateside.

He played in a game late last August while we were there, was really nice after the game and gave my son a cracked bat.. Then all of a sudden was suspended/restricted.. Was wondering myself what brought this on.

Nice game for Mr. Anderson, tonight. Seems like he's starting to adjust to high A.
