Devers starting at 3B and batting 6th tonight. I like the fact that they're not putting him too high to start. Ease him into the new level.

James M. Dunne @jamesmdunne Devers takes a 1-1 pitch the other way for a single. Batting 1.000.
OK, I've seen enough, time to get him to Boston.

Devers two for two. Put him on the next plane to Boston. No need to rush Devers. But do have a private plane waiting at each Pawtucket game. ok, now that devers has a few ab, we can call him up

Two bagger for Devers. 3 for 3. Incredible.
EDIT ADD: But he committed an error too, so there's that.
EDIT 2: Aaaaaaaaand a home run for Devers. Best debut at a new level I've ever seen.

Bobby Dalbec with a grand slam. Good to see from a kid that has struggled to hit for power this year. Hope his wrists can keep it up.

Greenville DriveVerified account @greenvilledrive Following More A GRAND SLAM for @bobbydalbec gives the #Drive a 7-3 lead in B-7th! It traveled 400 feet to left-center and came off the bat at 109 MPH! 👀

Beeks 6IP 1R 5H 1BB 6K Darwinzon 5IP 3H 5K Devers AAA OPS 3.000 I'm putting Beeks ahead of Fister on the starting depth chart. I would DFA Fister (who will probably clear waivers) in order to call up two relievers for tomorrow's doubleheader. For Monday, they and Travis go down and E-Rod and Holt return.

I wouldn't disagree with the Beeks over Fister assessment, however, I wouldn't put either over Johnson who threw 7 innings of 3 hit shutout ball 2 days ago. Or Velazquez for that matter. I'll grant both over Kendrick though who's just wasting roster space until we have somebody ready for the jump. For me, for tomorrow, I'd bring up Taylor and Maddox and keep Maddox until ERod. Holt isn't doing well and we've had no reports either way on the dizzy symptoms. Sending Travis may depend on the Sox feelings about Hanley as an emergency first baseman. I wish they'd just DL him.

Devers went deep in the 8th. 4 for 4 in his AAA debut. He carried Pawtucket to victory last night.

That was one heck of a debut for Devers last night.
Very nice night for Beeks and Hernandez on the mound. A lot to like right now.

Is that anything other than Devers saying 'hell yes, I'm ready!'?

Devers starting at 3B and batting 6th tonight. I like the fact that they're not putting him too high to start. Ease him into the new level. This is SOP for the most part, for that reason. Bobby Dalbec with a grand slam. Good to see from a kid that has struggled to hit for power this year. Hope his wrists can keep it up. I wouldn't necessarily say he's struggling to hit for power - he's got a .118 ISOp, which isn't what he did last year but I wouldn't call it struggling. The problem is that he's struggled to hit, period. Tough to hit home runs if you aren't getting the bat on the ball to begin with.

It's not going to be easy with a recovery period either.

^ Good point. I actually moved him up a spot or two in my personal rankings for 7/1 because of the hamate news.
