Has there been any news regarding Kyri Washington and Trenton Kemp? Salem could definitely use their bats, especially with Chavis gone and Ockimey in a slump. The Salem lineup is almost out of impact prospects. Kemp has been out since 6/14 and Washington since 5/19. Are these injuries going to keep them out for the full year or can we expect them back soon?

Tavarez leading off the Pawtucket game with a home run. Good to see him getting back into the swing of things. 12 of his last 30 (.400) since the beginning of July.

Devers took one to the center field warning track for his second at bat, great running catch.

Brentz with a two run home run to Center, he's really been hot lately.

Can he play third....?
😀
Poor Henry Owens. I feel for this guy. He never had great command but....
It has to be in his head now.
Did Mayo ever find a cure for Steve Blass?

Chavis with home run #5 at Portland. Nice to see his power came up with him. Hoping he finishes strong to cap off a nice year

Oh right....and then there's Knoblauch....Lester to first...but I think Steve was the first to suffer this debilitating, potentially career ending, illness...
.,.baseball's version of the yips.
"The mind is a terrible thing........". (I forget the rest of it..)

Well, again, Owens is learning completely new throwing mechanics. He still threw 50% strikes in the outing. Not ideal but it's not the yips.

He's played in two games since the all star break, yesterday and today. He won the AAA home run derby. Hard to say someone has cooled off in such a short time. 2-4 with another HR and 3 RBI today says he's still swinging a hot bat.

Nevermind the ASB comment, but his July OPS coming into today isn't too hot. Overall since his change to the toe tap he is mashing though.

"He who should not be named" and hope he disappears after the season to another organization.
