106 mph for Benni, nothing to show for it. Baltimore got their runs without hitting a ball over 90 mph.

Man what an aggravating game.
It's like they're not meant to win this game.
Put a million guys on, can't score. Hit it hard - right at somebody.
Naturally the speedster bangs into a killing DP with runners on the corners and 1 out.
It's really going to suck getting swept at home by the Orioles. The Red Sox are supposed to have a bunch of home games against lesser teams come September. Hope this weekend isn't a preview of things to come in that situation.

Red Sox walked 8 times - none have come in to score - just stated by Castiglione. Wow...that's hard to do.

he could probably use a good hitting coach/manager too and maybe a sports psychologist He has a double and a walk in this game for a 1.000 OPS. Yesterday he was 2-3 with a walk. With this criteria, everyone should be batting 9th. It's frustrating, but be realistic. i don't mind batting mookie high in the order. i just think a good coach/manager could help him figure out how to deal with outside pitches. it's hurting his confidence too

After today, we never speak of this series again. Agreed?

I can't even say that the team played poorly today. Worked counts, took walks, hit some balls hard. Only one run to show for it. Pitchers did their job, defense did its job. Sometimes this sport just sucks.

Well that was pathetic. Meanwhile Buck Showalter is laughing his butt off even if his team will be done playing baseball by the end of game 162.
In other news the Yankees are now just 2.5 games out and the Indians now have a better record than the Red Sox.
But if you're looking for silver linings there are two of them.
1) Last year after the Red Sox won 11 games in a row, they dropped dead at the end of the season losing 5 of 6 and then made in 8 of 9 counting the playoffs, which finished their season.
At least, after the Red Sox continue to be lousy after the 15-3 stretch, they do have time to turn around and play better. Just not sure where they're going to be. It might be chasing the Yankees.
2) If the Red Sox blow the ALDS division home field advantage AND their 1st place lead the good news is that the Red Sox might actually be better off?
If the Red Sox don't blow 1st place, they are rewarded with Kluber twice in 5 games against the one team Chris Sale struggles mightily against. At this point Cleveland is the last team you'd want to play in a 5 game set. You're better off going against them in the ALCS because Kluber would still only get two starts meaning you get more starts from Indians starters not named Kluber.
Meanwhile Chris Sale would pitch at Fenway against some second rate .500 club (hopefully not the Orioles because the Sox apparently can't beat them), and the Sox would play in Houston assuming Sale does his thing, and Houston is a less scarier proposition that Cleveland - assuming Houston holds off Cleveland in the race for best AL record - and I'm not even sure about that.
Truth is I'd hate to see the Sox blow the lead against the Yankees. They played well in two series against them to stretch the lead to 5.5 and haven't been able to maintain that lead, which is kind of disappointing.

LOL that Orioles rotation. Exactly. The way the Red Sox play this Orioles team is nauseating. You'd think the Orioles were the first place team and the Red Sox were the mediocrities with little to no pitching.

Like a good Christian I already repented my sin and I have asked for forgiveness, what more can I do? In retrospect, an Oriole doll and pins ? ? ? Mr. Miami would get my vote. Haha, in the more remote parts of the Philippines, they use an image (photo or drawing) and a lock of hair. It's more of a karma thing than a pain thing. If somebody does you wrong, the wrong is returned. Somebody get some Yankee hair, it can be arranged.
