X was late on the cover, that was a perfect toss from Sale.

Obviously more forward looking...at what point/score, would you like to see JF call it, for Sale? After the 5th inning, regardless of pitch count.

its a weird night because the offense is scoring runs and their half innings are long. I would think they would still want Sale to throw between 80 and 100 pitches, because he is already on extra rest. I don't know how cautious you have to be. It is an interesting decision.

keep em coming for a few more innings, then empty the bench for the last few innings.

Nice play by Bogey & Moreland with the nice foot-work

Sale is such an interesting guy. He is up 9 runs and he isn't giving in to the hitters at all.

Sale is such an interesting guy. He is up 9 runs and he isn't giving into the hitters at all. He just owns certain teams. The Rays and Jays are two of them.

Poor Kevin Cash, out of challenges for the possible foul ball that would have made it go to 0-2 with 2 outs in a 9-0 game. I bet he starts putting in 4 pitchers per inning soon to annoy everyone.

That ball can't be reviewed anyways. It's got to go past the 1rst or 3rd base bags in order to be reviewed.

The Rays and Jays are two of them. sure. but you would think he might say, "I am up 9, i'll throw it in the zone a bit to keep my pitch count down and get the hell out of here". Yet he won't give em one pitch to hit.

if devers continues his progression and continues to pepper the wall, I am not being facetious in saying he could make a run at .400 in his career.

Devers looks like he's lost weight to me. Anyway he's moving in all conceivable ways, better than I thought he would be. He's smart enough hitter not to try and pull the ball at Fenway and just keep hitting the wall.

What a great catch by Benintendi. I've very rarely ever seen guys jump at the Green Monster and make plays.

Too early to get Pedey out of the game? Take him out after this AB, and MAYBE he can play a day game tomorrow?

I don't mean to keep banging this drum but Beni is catching Judge in some key stats. I'd be curious: if every GM was secretly polled, how many would take Judge over AB?
Edit: obviously I'd take Beni everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

I'm always hesitant to pull a pitcher early because of the potential need for relievers in the next game, but I'm fine with pulling Sale after 6 or part way during this next inning.

Unlucky inning. A sinking liner to center, two liners to left-center. Wouldn't have been surprised to see any of those drop in. Instead, all are outs.
