How stupid. If you're going to protest about something, make sure people know what the hell your point is.

How stupid. If you're going to protest about something, make sure people know what the hell your point is. Oh..it's obvious to me. They are using the only stadium that recently has been aligned with racism (along with the city that has a history of it) to announce that they feel America is a racist nation. The arena and message are very clear to me. It is meant to very provocative.

The arena and message are very clear to me. It is meant to very provocative. These idiotic protests seem to miss the point that racism is a problem, yes, but it's a problem that's dealt with. I mean, not perfectly, but you don't live in a society that brush it off completely. There's a paragraph there about the Jones incident where it's written "the Red Sox later apologized to Jones, and the team toughened its fan code of conduct to stress a zero-tolerance policy and impose the harshest possible penalties for violators." That's about what they can do, they can't kill people for that stuff. Racism is a problem and you deal with problems, you don't make people conscious about sh*t they already know, you punish them for not behaving accordingly to what's acceptable in that society. This kind of rhetoric is infantile, condescending and frankly irritating. These people seem to think they're "doing their part", when they're not. They're telling people what everyone already knows.

It's like racism is 1000 times more important than endless war, growing poverty, the disappearing middle class, the opioid epidemic, the destruction of civil rights and an outright police state, $20 trillion in debt, the stock market and debt bubble that is 10 times bigger than it was in 2008 and about to pop, and the outright gross corruption of pretty much all politicians. It's like they're trying to distract with something they don't give two damns about to keep what is most important out of the spotlight.
The only true division of people is those in power vs. those who they rule.

Agree. But all these problems, racism, sexism, ageism etc..etc..are cultural in nature and they fall under a larger umbrella of tribalism. Nobody should be discriminated against for any of these reasons, but they will probably exist forever, at some level, because humans aren't perfect. There have always been people working to stop these kind of actions, some having given their life for it. I don't think these kind of actions have the courage that these folks feel they possess. That said, people are angry, and there are times I can't blame them. I have tried to live my life not telling others how to live theirs, and this is another instance where I will have to do that. I mostly worry about the way our society is communicating with each other. There are chances for us to make major improvements on so many levels.

Divide and conquer has never worked better than it is now.

The only true division of people is those in power vs. those who they rule. Agreed 100% with this. Racism is a terrible issue, but it's used as a mean to perpetuate a certain kind of people in power when in fact they have shown zero capability of solving the problems they can't stop talking about. That's because it's an unsolvable problem, it's been recorded since the dawn of written history and to these people solving the problem doesn't matter, see, not when you keep the power anyway. It's just a banner in a proxy war fought by invisible puppeteers. There's this great song by Killer Mike in which he pretty much nails the hypocrisy of it all: "Ronald Reagan was an actor, not at all a factor, just an employee of the country's real masters. Just like the Bushes, Clinton and Obama, just another talking head telling lies on teleprompters".

Imagine if all of the little people in this world united against those who are ruining it. They can't have that threat. Racism is one of their biggest tools of division.

Red Sox released statement on banner draped on Green Monster. One individual involved said they were inspired by BLM . . . Antifa, neo nazi, BLM, KKK. Same crap, different day.
