At least put Devers or JBJ cleanup and drop Moreland down. Moreland is colder than ice.

I love that something like this happened to the MFYs, but am I the only one who finds the hidden ball trick (and other similar moves) to be extremely bush league? I don't like it, even in this situation against MFY. Or if it is to be done, do it to a douche. Frazier, by all accounts, is a decent guy. It doesn't happen that often, but I just think it is beneath professionals to do that to each other. I wouldn't blame the MFY if they retaliated. If they retaliated by throwing at Goings? Well they won't be punished for it, that's for sure.

Holt again. And his close to .500 OPS. Completely ridiculous. There is slightly good news on Holt as he's hit .313/.389/.375 in hist last 7 games.

Well, I guess I should take a long vacation more often! Yellowstone and the Tetons were indescribable (but I tried - my first brief travel blog - www.craiglehoullier.com/blog/2017/9/23/experiencing-yellowstone-national-park-and-the-grand-tetons ) I did have enough WiFi and occasional phone to at listen to a few games and watch scores. Unlike last year, we seem to be peaking/improving at just the right time - would love to all a game more separation today between the MFY and the good guys. Good to be back home...kind of (though we may never get the majesty of Yellowstone out of our heads). Later! One place I've always wanted to visit. Even moreso after watching Bill Briggs's first descent of the Grand in the movie "Steep." Such an amazing area, right here in the good ol' U.S. of A.

ALL STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AND ALSO COMMON SENSE: Your #2 hitter should be one of the best hitters on the club.
JOHN FARRELL: Brock Holt it is!

I can't imagine that ERod had a better chance bunting for a base hit than swinging for a base hit.

I don't blame the pitcher for bunting. Best case scenario is that the catcher throws it away.
None of these pitchers for the Sox have a great chance of actually making contact by swinging.

I think he believes that simply moving every player up in the lineup one spot would mess everyone up, so he thinks he's only altering one player's comfort. Same thing goes for playing Young in RF instead of Benintendi. I mean does anyone think that Benintendi could not handle playing RF for a game or two?

I'd rather ERod not be sprinting down the line trying to beat out a hit. I'd rather he try for a bloop hit or seeing eye ground ball.

Eduardo takes forever to get set out of the stretch with runners on. Drives me nuts, but as long as he's pitching well, I'll take it.

I'd agree with you most of the time but with runners on maybe you catch a break and score more runs. I hate seeing the pitchers in the box in general.

I don't know, I might take Steve Lyons over Gomes. At least we don't have to listen to Lyons talk like he's into "battle with the boys" all the time.

Boy... it surely is scintillating to watch these pitchers pathetically muster swings in NL parks.

I'll take Gomes over Lyons any day and it's not close. Gomes is likable and Lyons has the personality of a wet mop. Also, Gomes called Vazquez' breakout after watching him in the cage a few months ago.
