Devers has hit the ball 106 and 105 mph in this game. I think the slump is over.

Eduardo spinning a absolute beauty so far. He's my number 3 starter in the playoffs.

Glad you had a good trip Telson. I just went to Rushmore for the first time- got a great website from a pulmonologist buddy- airnow.gov, which will give live air quality reports for anywhere in the country- so that you don't head anywhere during dangerous smoke.

At least put Devers or JBJ cleanup and drop Moreland down. Moreland is colder than ice. I'm the king of reverse jinxes.

Just wouldn't be real Sox game without a bad baserunning play.

With the pinch hitter, we won't get a chance to hit Farrell Jr.

How embarrassing to walk Brock Holt on four pitches. 0 home runs, .188, only 7 rbis.

But, what was that Holt?

Another absurd baserunning error. The ball is hit in front of Holt, AND he makes the final out at third base. Unacceptable on multiple levels.

Fantastic work E-Rod. I might let him face the first batter of the 8th at most, but with a 5 run lead we can finish the game with the other relievers that we didn't use last night and call it a day.

With robot umpires, ERod's pitch count would be low enough to possibly get a complete game.

I love our pitching staff right now for postseason
Sale Pomeranz Erod Porcello
Price as our Andrew Miller bullpen guy
Carson Smith
Reed in the 8th
Kimbrel as the closer
