It is Severino vs. Porcello Mon nite in the Bronx. E-Rod on Tues vs Twins That's the spirit.

A win tonight would be neat. To celebrate in front of the home crowd. It really bugged me the way the team won the division last year, celebrating in New York after Teixeira hits a walk-off grand slam off of Kelly. It just never felt right to me, and it seemed like the team never really got back on track after that.
Come on, Sox. Let's put this division race to bed tonight and start getting ready for October.

I'm kind of happy the Yankees won today. It gives the Sox the opportunity to have a spontaneous champagne party, which ideally would be the first of four.
Doug Fister is incapable of keeping the opponent off the scoreboard. He's long overdue to break that streak. And if he spun a gem that would muddy the waters of the 3/4 starters in the playoffs decision making. So I might be nuts but I think Fister pitches well and the Sox celebrate tonight. Either that or he gives up 10 runs in the 1st inning.
It would be awesome if tonight was the night. Turn the weekend into a spring training series.

But Moreland 3rd and Benny 5th. That would be a much bigger improvement than you'd think. I'll explain later, but it starts with healthy Moreland having been the better hitter this year to begin with. That he's white hot right now is barely part of it. Edit: I'm sensing a Fister gem. Let's see.

If Fister pitches well tonight I think he should get the start game 4. Porcello frankly has stunk and was asked about his role in the playoffs after his last start. He said all the right things, that he'll do whatever they tell him to do. He should be on the outside looking in, and be available to piggyback if someone gets a quick hook. Best case scenario, he pulls a Derek Lowe and earns his way back into some big starts.

Can Fister not give up any runs in the first inning? And, can the rest of the Sox pitching hold the Astros down?(I think they've scored 9+ runs 4 games in a row?)
Lets not give up any runs in the first, and the Sox jump on Morton in the first with a crooked number.

At least, since the NYY played this afternoon, we won't have to hear DOB announcing that game all night long>LOL!!

You literally have to start warming the pen right now. You can't let Houston score more than 2 in this inning with Fister on the mound.

Who here KNEW that Fister would work out of that jam? (Raise your hand, please. My hand is not raised). Let's hope that's a good sign for the night.
Sox turn to score in the first and get the early lead, for a change.

Is it really too much to ask, to come home after work turn on the game and not see the Sox losing?

Surprised that throw wasn't online by Mookie. I'm still confused about why Leon had to go 5 feet behind the baseline to catch it. If he caught it near the baseline, he's out by a mile. That was a terrible tag. I'd give him an error for it even though it would never happen.

OK...paging the Red Sox offense - we need you! You've seen this guy once through the line up. Chat about it - share your impressions - there is cold champagne waiting for you.
String together some hits!

Fister - 4 innings, 1 run - he's doing his job brilliantly. Short, short hook from here on in - Farrell has to have an idea of the order of use and be ready to get arms warming up at first sign of trouble.
This line up has to have at least a few runs in it tonight - the time to start is NOW
