of all the things that could go wrong. I would have never guessed our starters would have this much difficulty. It is mind boggling.
Reddick has had more BS hits this series and then his bomb was caught, go figure.

Sheesh. What the heck was that wild throw by Benintendi? Some nerves setting in don't mix well with the rain.

Porcello is not a close out pitcher this year and this is a game when that is exactly what is needed. Today's Porcello is simply the Porcello we've seen all season

This guy is giving the Red Sox what he gave them ALL year - first inning runs and no shutdown innings. I cant believe anyone is surprised and shame on Farrell for expecting anything different than who this guy proved he was for the entirety of 2017. If they get through two innings of Porcello, with Vazquez' lazy block and the umpires terrible call on Moreland's check and they're only down one they should consider it a win. Get a new pitcher in there now and win the last seven innings... It's not like anyone has been pitching well lately other than Price.

Man, it would've been nice if one starting pitcher showed up this entire series.

He'll be in after the second rain delay.

Altuve's check on that swing was just barely sooner than Moreland's.

Porcello is up in the Zone way too much.

53 pitches in 1.2 innings. Defines inefficient.

Does it look like every batter keeps stepping out? Like they are trying to disrupt Porcello

While Sale has struggled lately, he has followed up his last three poor outings with a zero R effort. Rodriguez has a 3.33 ERA, 1.2 WHIP, .228 BAA and a 32/10 K:BB ratio in September/October. There were far better options than throwing Porcello a bone because he's a veteran who might be embarrassed by pitching out of the bullpen. That's not being a player's manager its being irresponsible...

Big relief. 2-1 and we've only batted once. Morton had to sit for a long time - gotta pour it on NOW.

Five stranded after two. We'd be freaking out (with good reason) if the Red Sox did that.

Really walking the tightrope. But still well done by Porcello considering the circumstance. Hopefully he can give us a couple more scoreless innings.

HUGE there from Porcello against one of the best hitters of this generation.

Hell yeah! Porcello has nothing today but good job thus far limiting the damage. Shutting off the Astros would never happen, this is as good as we can expect.
