TBH I.wanted to see Sale start the 8th, Bregman was gifted a sped up bat changeup. Im not gonna be the guy who didn't say that he should definitely leave before but then after the fact say I knew it and told you so. He was rolling. Great outing by sale really impressed, let's pull this one out guys Listening to Merloni and Joe C on the radio, they noted that Sale's command dropped off pretty visibly in the last full inning - they were really surprised he came back out.

I'll give you that he looked a TAD off, but bregman hadn't had a good swing on sale all day, and even if the sliders were a little bit pulled they were still inducing silly swings. But, like I said I won't be the guy that say I told you so even though it may have been the wrong decision

The other consideration is it would have been good to give Kimbrel a clean inning - give him a bit of space to work the rust off.

Welp, the standard run Farrell out of town statements concoted seemingly every game are being molded with some surely polite intent.

I bet Houston goes to their closer for the clean 6 out save now.

There's the season. On stupid management. It's so bad. The plan is to go to Sale until he has men on base, then go to Kimbrel who is magnitudes worse when he enters an inning with men on base. It's unfathomable that you can have a multi-billion dollar organization that is this poorly managed but here we are. gg.

Bregman and his antics may replace Odor as my new least favorite position player.

Look, I would love to blame Farrell for the go-ahead run. But at a certain level, your All-Star closer needs to be able to do his job. He didn't.
