It's always bizarre to me when a guy like Jaylen Brown who shoots 40% from 3 stinks at free throws.

It’s pathetic how many layups and free throws the Celts have missed tonight. Just soft as can be.

That was harder than it should have been but man a young team having the balls down the stretch is impressive.... Tatum is 20

Every series win is so much fun and so exciting with this group, but also hurts even more imagining what could've been with Kyrie and Hayward.

This was one of the most stressful and yet beautiful games I have ever watched. Marcus Smart has the heart of a champion man and that's kind of corny but I mean it. Misses the FT he wants to hit, hits the FT he wants to miss and then game clinching steal after he was initially near the baseline. I don't know if I was on the verge of tears or an aneurysm. This team man I F***8KCIANG LOVE THIS TEAM.

That play by Smart to seal it is absolutely nuts Seriously. He was probably the least likely to end up with that ball there and it was ridiculous. Smart is just macho as f*ck.

Time to face Megatron LeBron James himself once again. Boston has faced LeBron more than any other team in the playoffs.
LeBron has won the last 4 post season series against the Celtics. He's averaged close to 29 points 9 rebounds and 5 assists against the Celtics in the playoffs.
There is no player I respect more than this guy. He is one of the 5 best players to ever play the game.

Flaming hot take here, but Philly should dump the tough guy play they sometimes put up. There are runs where they play extremely physical Pistons ball on defense but they don't have the focus to do it long enough and they end up firing up the adversary more than anything. Besides, that's a finesse team and they should really try to play up to their style. Something feels off about them, it's like the coach wants them to have a mentality that is not adequate for the roster. They're like Kyrie Irving trying to play like Marcus Smart.

If there was ever a year where the Celtics *could* dethrone LeBron in his prime, this might be it, but I still don't feel good about it.

I was just watching Jaylen Browns highlights from last night and it’s amazing how far he’s come with his offensive game. It’s exciting to think about where he could be if he continues his upward trajectory.

It’s exciting to think about where he could be if he continues his upward trajectory. Since we all here at SP like the process of team building and the management of assets it has just been incredible to watch Brown, Rozier and Tatum this year. What each of them has done would be great individually but as a group they have pushed the envelope on expectations. Brown is playing with so much poise and confidence as is the other 2, fun to watch and fun to think about the future. On to Cleveland and Megatron

The Cavs are still a messed up team. Look no further than Rodney Hood refusing to enter game 4 with like 8 minutes to go. The Cavs didn't do anything to him.
I didn't watch much of the Raptor series but the Cavs shooters were on fire shooting 42% from deep. Compare that to the 32% they shot against the Pacers and you see why they rolled over the Raptors.
This series will be about matchups much more than the first two series. Both teams can go big and small, mix and match a ton of different lineups. Korver has been huge for them so far, but he is going to get killed trying to guard Tatum and Brown. Watching Brown shutdown Reddick, is a good sign for stoping Smith. Nevermind how in the world is Smith going to guard Brown?
There's only one bad matchup and that's LeBron. I'd assume you'd rotate a bunch of guys on him from Brown, Tatum, Morris and Semi. The interesting thing is will they try and use LeBron to slow down Tatum and Brown? The Raptors playing their version of Semi on LeBron meant he didn't need to spend a ton of engery guarding him. Can LeBron play super human on offense and D, playing 40 minutes a night against a young athletic team? It's going to be must watch TV. The Celtics have a lot more athletes that can defend to throw at LeBron to at least try and slow him down than the Raptors did. The stronger power guys in Morris and Semi, along with Tatum and Brown who have great length.
We just need to limit the Cavs 3 point shooting, like we did with the Sixers. Limit turnovers and play the matchups. While playing within our offense, which everyone besides Morris did last game.
