Beeks, Hart, Houck, and Scherff. That’s an excellent slate right there. Hoping to see Beeks rebound from a tough spring. Hart excelled in A-ball, hopefully it stays that way as he moves up. Houck looked good during spring training and I want to see him dominate Salem. But the most interesting pitcher there is Scherff. Ton of potential there.

It seems like a long time in which we had a series of games on tap with such interesting starters. Tonight, Mother Nature permitting, should be fun to follow!

Big test for the Sea Dogs tonight against Kilome. Sits mid 90s, touching 99. Borderline top 100 type.

Eagerly awaiting the PawSox lineup to see who isn't playing and might be coming up to Boston.

Scherff has allowed six runs (five earned) through five, and walked three with four K's, but he only has 73 pitches. For contrast, Houck needed 90 pitches to get through four even though he allowed only two runs. Beeks was even less efficient - 92 pitches to get through 17 batters(a 5.4 pitches/PA!), even though he walked only two and allowed one run. I think that's the most Daisuke Matsuzaka pitching line possible.

Dalbec just hit a ball a very long way to left field for a HR. Drew a walk earlier in the game as well.
