I just noticed that Portland's game notes have a TBA for tomorrow's starter. Would probably make the most sense for Dedgar to go back down to Portland for that start now that Walden's been optioned. PawSox's off day yesterday means the bullpen is rested and the rotation is still lined up fine.

Just realized Greenville isn't the only 3-11 team in the SAL. That makes me feel... better.

As of yesterday this was the plan... Also, Wisler's in MLB - he pitched yesterday and shoved against the red-hot Mets. No idea why they listed him as the Gwinnett starter originally. Maybe they just never updated it. Dillon Tate is also no longer listed as Trenton's starter. No idea what the deal is there.

Norris is always good for reports. We’ll get some good insight on Mata tonight.

Today's XST lineups, as posted on social media by 2 players:
Hamilton, CF Monge, DH (Portland DL) Esplin, RF Hernandez, C (must be Oscar - didn't realize suspended players could participate in XST) Sterry, 1B Arnold, 3B Wren, DH Lopez, 2B (must be Deiner, also suspended) Barriento, LF Cubillan, SS
bench: Hardy, Legrant SP: Mosqueda followed by Gomez, Carber, Rivero
-----------------------------
Cedrola, CF (injury rehab) Dearden, LF Chavis, DH (Suspended. Also the oblique is at least better enough for him to hit.) Baldwin, DH (Salem DL) Ganns, 1B Marrero, C Colon, SS Abreu, RF Nishioka, 2B Houellemont, 3B
Bench: Hernandez (probably Juan) SP: Pantoja followed by: Behenna, Jimenez (likely Andres)
By my count (someone check me), the only non-catcher position player missing from those lineups are Aybar and Benge. The latter is probably hurt. I wonder if the former is being converted to the mound.

Will Big Ded get brought back up to Pawtucket? I get he doesn't pass the eye test and doesn't get much love here, but he pitched damn well as a 21 year old call-up in Portland last year. Looked solid in his PawSox start this year too. I just think he might be a kid who has a chance to be a random solid spot starter/swingman shuttle type. Call me crazy, but I want to see if he can't be above average in AAA. A big 'ol lefty, who works quickly and just knows how to pitch? Also is this game day thread title a shout out to the Peter Bjorn and John song? I can't figure out the connection, but that song is great. I don't think I know anyone who didn't find that jam catchy, at least the first dozen times they heard it. Even my friends that like only listen to Slayer. Swedes are to writing great pop music like us Micks are to writing great post-modern fiction.

Second straight game without Chatham in the lineup for Greenville. Am I just being paranoid?

Second straight game without Chatham in the lineup for Greenville. Am I just being paranoid? Since the season started he played 10 games, 6 of them as a DH: I'm not sure if they were taking it slow with him or he's a bit banged up. He's 23 (11 months younger than Lin) and still in Low A ball because of multiple injuries so yeah, you have every reason to be paranoid my man.

Hah, I thought it might be a 4:20 reference of some kind that I was missing, and I didn't want to ask out of fear of looking old and lame.
