that's 7 K's, along with all the hard hit balls. Interesting start, for sure.

There's so much room in this ballpark. Martinez better not see one start in the outfield in this ballpark or it's a mistake right out of the gate.

That's what minor league rehab starts are for. Truly. Obviously not in this case. I guess i just trust the organizations decisions. They have the most information. That is Jamie Moyer not Pomeranz. Really don't you have to question arm health? I thought last year his FB got up to 94-95 before tailing off to the low 90s at year end but don't have time to check at this hour.

Do you think they would send him out there if his arm wasn't healthy ? It is clear he is pitching with diminished velo (unless he isn't throwing max effort), but does that mean that the Sox should keep him in the minors? I don't know, I just feel like the org has a better understanding of that question. I

They probably thought he can get away with lower velocity in the majors. He still spots pitches very well, despite lower velocity.
Great job by Velazquez there.

Vazquez is just having a bad start to the season. Not hitting, making throwing errors, not blocking balls at the plate.

I don't know, I just feel like the org has a better understanding of that question. I Well the Yankees just shut down Kahnle with a 5 mph drop and he claimed he was fine. History is full of those type stories. The velo has been in steady decline since late last year. But no I don't think the Sox would wilfully send a knowingly injured pitcher to the mound. I will be interested in follow up reports.

Is it usually true in the game of base ball that the two teams have similar or even identical number of points? I've only been watching for a week or so, and it is very unfamiliar.

Letting Graveman face three guys the 3rd time around the order + sabermetric-oriented team = zero confidence in bullpen.
Warranted? One can hope.

Is it usually true in the game of base ball that the two teams have similar or even identical number of points? I've only been watching for a week or so, and it is very unfamiliar. If both teams have had players called for technical fouls due to icing, they’ll often kick field goals instead of attempting slapshots in the red zone. Or maybe they just traded 3-pointers. I get my base balls confused with iced sticks, oblong hand-egg, and short shorts bouncy ball sometimes.

Sooner or later, Cora is going to need to drop Moreland down in the lineup. He isn't a cleanup hitter Cora. I'll eat this now.
