Omg. And this Moreland fellow just pulled off the doublesafety.
Thank God. I have to get up early. I feel much better with the chance of a tie game still being zero.

Letting Graveman face three guys the 3rd time around the order + sabermetric-oriented team = zero confidence in bullpen. Warranted? One can hope. Eric called this one

Can we please give Swihart the start catching tomorrow. Imagine we actually get production from the catcher

Who will hit the next gs for the Sox? I’m calling Beni. He’s due for some fireworks. Plus, I just want him to.

Yesterday Moreland passed Hanley for innings played at 1B (84 to 80) and today he was listed for the first time as the team's regular 1B at B-Ref. (Hanley, with a 70 to 41 edge in PA, is now the first UT guy.) Nice way to celebrate ...

It'll be very interesting how they handle the last three innings, pitching-wise. Barnes almost for sure ...

They let Velazquez face Chapman and he fans him.
I'm officially declaring all future criticism of pitching matchup decisions to be dubious. They seem to be working off of a great prediction system, which means they know immensely more than we do.

Wow Barnes. Way to show stones there. Love the high-leverage success for him.

Pedey with one knee plays better defense than Nunez! What an aweful fielder:

Alex Cora is the Bizarro Don Zimmer multiplied by the Bizarro John McNamara. Giving his regulars beautiful amounts of rest and doing everything as smartly as possible.

I was psyched when they hired him, because I really thought he was going to bring them onto the cutting edge. But the superiority of his approach over Farrell’s, on so many levels, is just shocking...despite kinda being anticipated. It’s just seeing it in action, over and over.

Bullpen’s looking better and better. Maybe no real killers there beyond Kimbrel, but damned if they don’t keep chugging along on multi-inning stunts and limiting damage.

Excellent win! Two big HRs and nice job by the pen picking up Pomeranz.

It took E-Rod a start or two to find his stride, let’s hope the same for Pomeranz. He finished stronger than he started

It took E-Rod a start or two to find his stride, let’s hope the same for Pomeranz. He finished stronger than he started He didn't even started that badly, if Vazquez stops that ball in the dirt after the Chapman K, he would've finish the 1st inning with 1 run allowed and a much lower pitch count. I found his outing a lot more encouraging than I was expecting. Add: you're right on E-Rod, he looks likehe found his stride.
