Jordan Betts has been moved up to Pawtucket, which is strange as hell to me given how many infielders they already have. That, plus Walden probably having to report to start the second game, make me wonder if we're seeing a number of moves on that roster today.
The Portland release says there are no countermoves on their end, but I wouldn't be surprised if De La Guerra, who's been overmatched in AAA, goes down. But still... you'd think Quiroz would go up if this was something permanent.

I bet that it is either to give De La Guerra a chance to regroup at AA before moving back up or due to an injury.

I just don't understand why they feel the need to even make the temporary move. In addition to 1B-only (as far as the infield goes, at least) Travis, they have Olt, De Jesus, Miller, and Witte. All of them played over the weekend, so it doesn't appear there's an injury. Plus, the PawSox have Walden reporting today (presumably) to start game 2, and Poyner has to report in the next couple days as well. Just a very strange move until we see what the countermoves are.

Looks like Josh Smith is scheduled to go first in Pawtucket's nightcap.

Just realized that every team is operating with a three-man bench right now. Interesting.
